I have liked him for 3 months and we have built a solid friendship. I think I need to tell him I like him, but I dont know how. We are going away soon as a group, do you think that would be a good time?

NO! As a guy, if a gal (friend) told me that she liked me while we were on a group outing, the potential for ackward moments is too great. Not to mentoin... what if he likes you back? Now you dont have much personal time to... either chat.... or have some "fun"! I'd wait until you have some 1 on 1 time with him.
There is one other thought... what if he doesn't feel the same way? Being on a group outing means there is more potential for him to make you feek ackward by talking to his friends about it. You have no way to escape and get away from it. I dont think will happen, but its always a thought. Go for the 1 on 1 communication, when you have some privacy. Good Luck!

If you and him have built a friendship then express your feelings to him over dinner or a night at the movies, just tell him you are a little afraid of what he may say back but you just want him to know that you like him and what to take this friendship up a knotch and see what his response is, but you gotta be strong for the answer cause it may not be what you want to hear.

talk to him in person, maybe hint around it at first to see how he reacts. afterall he is your buddy so you dont want to drop it like a bomb on him and make things all awkward and ruin your friendship. if hinting doesnt work and you still want to tell him, tell him straight up. if he doesnt feel the same, there are more fish in the sea, and im sure you can find one even better good luck

Well hiding your feelings does nothing to help you! It all depends on YOU! And when the time is right. If the group you are going with is friends go for it! You'll be comfortable and it won't seem as hard!

i think the best time to tell him, would be for you to pull him to the side one day and tell him face to face...explain to him why you love him....never tell him in public or around other people....because he might not know how to react around so many ppl....so do it in private
