The amount of money it cost 135 million to build the new prison camps, and the cost of increasing border patrol and building a fence while chasing mexicans around could be saved and the additional taxes we get from their labor would buy one heck of a lot of bullets planes and Humvees for use in Iraq and around the world.

Most of you blame the mexicans for doing what?
At least they are working!
What have you given in return for living here?

2007-03-02 15:50:11 · update #1

Pity though now you say he mexicans cannot make enough living wages to pay taxes but then neither can most college attendees either and they have to beg for assistance and mention Earned Income credit who gets that already in states from tax payers who work?
American single white women with kids make up over 89% of those americans who claim such.
Sounds like most are just jealous someone else has found out how to get something for nothiong and maybe there will not be enough to go around to reach them.
Uneducated? Funny most tof the mexican laborers are doing the same jobs around 23 million other americans are doing. Most of those laid off in the last six years some estimated 15 million production, industrial and clerical workers are at a skill level any high school training class could fill.

The majority of the U.S. fears it will become a country where whites are the minority. That would change a lot of things in Washington.

I'm not saying we should just allow anyone in, but your trying to plug a gaping hole with bubble gum. My father was born in Puerto Rico, so he was already a citizen. My mother was not, but did so the right way and studied and followed the program accordingly.

We need to find a medium. This will allow hard working good people in and limit the trouble out. In the long run, we're going to pay for it anyway.

An amnesty failed in 1986 (gave more than 3 million carte Blanc citizenship), and it will only be worse today (as proposed, SB-2611 will give citizenship to 30 million). We're being displaced out of our jobs and out of our own country. Is it not possible that people will fight with one-another for the shrinking natural resources?

How about water? How about clean air— California smog? How about farmland? How about growing-fields sanitization? How about traffic? How about housing? How about schools? How about standard of living? How about quality of life? How about greenhouse gases? How about grid-lock?

Ever hear the sound of a toilet flushing? Ever see one backed up? Ever see and smell the results of both? How many times can you expand a sewage-treatment plant? Where do you put the trash?

You must not be close enough to the problem yet.

They are extremely ethnocentric, meaning they see themselves as Mexicans not Americans. This means they're more interested in acquiring economic and political power and street power for their group than what's best for America as a whole.

When these people crossed the border, they didn't suddenly transform into moral saints. Mexico is one of the most dangerous, corrupt places in the world. They're bringing in that culture with them. Street gangs is a sign of machismo for them.

Do you want street gangs in your neighborhood?

Recently I went to an upscale mall, that was mostly in an affluent neighborhood. It had been half a year since I'd been there. My have things changed. Because this mall was filled with these gang-banger types walking around! They were walking trying to look tough too and staring people down. Many of them you could tell had this smirk on their face, knowing they were invading an affluent mall, scaring all the normal people. It was sick.

You had freaky looking people who look like they just crossed the border staring at young women, sizing them up. It was bad.

The US is being invaded point blank. And the Feds don't care, all they care about is cheap labor.

We actually do. It's called amnesty.
That's were the government goes wrong. The government does not need to pardon these people.

If we start granting citizenship, then it will only encourage more illegal immigration. People will know that they can come here illegal and then be granted citizenship later.

Do you realize that most (not all) immigrants have a very low education level? One of the keys to success in the US is education. When they get here and can't get a job paying enough to support them, do you know what will happen? Government Support. That's what. That means more that we have to pay in taxes to 'help' support them, their family members and any children they have. The cost that unskilled, uneducated illegals impose will outway whatever cost you think is spent.

Also, the money spent for increasing border patrol, fences, etc....also helps protect us from terroism too.
Do you think that only mexicans travel across the mex borders?

Great idea, there's a lot of tax money to be collected from a family of 6 with a total income of $16,000 a year.

Seriously, do you understand that most of them would end up getting an Earned Income Tax Credit of about $4,000 to $6,000 a year? They'd pay less than nothing.

Poor people can't pay enough tax to cover the cost of education for their children much less for other services poor people use. It costs $10,000 to educate a single child for one year in California. We subsidize poor people, and that money is taken from our own children's education and from the services intended for our own people. Schools are ruined in areas where illegal immigrants concentrate. Poor people don't pay much in tax. That is why we and every country in the world limit how many poor can come.

We are being invaded by millions of Mexicans every year and
you want to do nothing? What a coward! If we allow all of
these invaders to become citizens, we will lose the southwestern
US states ot Mexico. Cowardly politicians like Ted Kennedy and
John McCain are planning to do just that. We must stop these
uneducated, unskilled, peasants from becoming citizens at all costs.

We don't need millions of Mexicans who refuse to assimilate. What an insane policy to allow millions of Mexicans to become dual citizens of Mexico and the USA! Their first allegiance will always be to Mexico.

The US needs skilled and educated immigrants who are willing to assimilate to our culture. We certainly do not need any more Mexicans. Did you not see the protests last year where the illegal aliens and their traitorous allies were marching to Mexican flags?
No Amnesty!

The laws need to be reformed badly. The people who do want to become citizens do not have the means to do so. It is not that they do not want to be here it is that they are sending money home and trying to make a better life for their families. My husband and I have sent money to his mother for 5 years just so that she and my brother-in-law can eat. My brother-in law works 60 hours a week and make 60 pesos a day which is roughly $5.50 a day. Illegal people still pay taxes too for all you people who think they don't. They pay and pay and pay and never get any of the benefits.

Heck....why not just let all the prisoners out of jail.....they could be working and paying taxes instead of my tax dollars paying to feed and house them better than some citizens. Lets just dispence with laws all together since it doesn't seem to matter diddly anyway? Lets just open those borders, have a darn free for all, no holes barred, and get this survival of the fittest game going. No whining, no freebies, no special interest groups.....nothing. Dog eat dog. Last one left standing wins. I hate long drawn out things.
