I have been in relationships with guys ranging from two days to a whole year and a half (off and on) but we where both virgins at the time, but anyways he accepted it better than others- how I can I tell if he is worth keeping based on the fact that he doesn't stir up an attituted and threaten to sleep with someone eles.

if any guy gives you an ultimatum to sleep with him then get rid of him. you should never feel pressured into having sex.

you should always have sex when you think you're ready.

if you're a virgin then it'll probably seem like quite a big deal to do it for the first time.

i've no idea how old you are so i'm not sure how best to advise you.

having sex for the first time should be a special experience, but don't confuse that with it being some rose petal showered glowfest ... it'll probably be quite awkward and uncomfortable.

ideally you want to find a guy who's quite happy to wait, that's a good indication of whether he'll stick with you afterwards. try to judge whether you're going to be together for a while, and then start thinking about having sex.

people put too much stock in their virginity, it's not some precious golden miracle virtue only to be given away to the son of zeus on a bed of angel wing feathers.

sex is a wonderful thing, and can be very enjoyable with the right people. don't hold on to your virginity for too long, as it'll become a bigger and bigger deal, find the right guy and get it over and done with, but realise you're probably not going to be with that guy for the rest of your life.

that'll make it easier to sleep with the next guy - it'll be less of a big deal, you can follow the same principal of being sure you want to and not being pressurised, but you'll be able to concentrate on just whether you want to have sex, not be burdened with the worry of losing your virginity.

i was 18 before i had my first girlfriend, she was the first girl i kissed propertly, and we were together about 3 months before we had sex, and stayed together for another 15 months after that.

we split up but kept in touch over the years, with us both being quite special to each other. we got back together 10 years later, and are getting married next year ... so sometimes there is a fairytale ending, my wife will be the first, and last, person i'll ever sleep with but I'll also have had some fun in between.

The fact that he is not pushing for sex and threatening to sleep with other girls is causing you to wonder if he is worth keeping? You can't be serious.........

the right time is when you feel comfortable with the person, if there are threats then they are not the RIGHT one

That would be strictly a personal decision on your part...
