i want to know when the bible started to be pubilished and distributed around the word ( the year). There have been many diferent cultures stating that judgment day will come in 2012. It makes it seem like it could be true because of the amount of people through time all have given the same year, however being that the bible also states the year 2012 as judgement day i wanted to know if the others had just learned the information from that book, and passed it on, because it that is the case then it would make it alittle harder for me to beileve it is possible.

the bible does not say the date, however it does use codes to predict the date just like it has in the past for example 9/11/01 the bible also had a code predicting that.
The Bible Code; has now been verified by mathematicians and code-breakers, predicts all major news items from the holocaust to Hiroshima. More recent events have been decoded before they happened, including the collision of the Shoemaker-Levy comet with Jupiter. The date of the collision was found to be encoded months before it happened. As for the future, the last encoded date is 2126 -seventh month - when comet Swift-Tuttle is predicted to return to the solar system, just as astronomers have already predicted. However, in 2012, a comet is predicted which will crumble into pieces and/or ‘annihilate’ the earth.

Many cultures, not just the Christian, have been obsessed with this issue, though noone has gotten it wrong for 2000 straight years like Christians. I've linked a site documenting all the false prophecies of the end of the world beginning about 2800BCE through October of 2004. I've also linked a PBS website where you can discover the real meaning the Book of Revelations as opposed ot the one that's been assigned to since pentecostalism began in the 19th century. The Book is about emperor worship in Ephesus, not the end of the world in the 21st century, which is a viewpoint formed in ignorance of Jewish apochryphal literature, or which no one is more ignorant than a protestant fundie.
But I'm curious. Have you actually read the Bible for yourself? Because it does not say any date for the end anywhere. They didn't even have a calendar based on Jesus, so how could they say 2012?. Jesus Himself says no man knows when asked, so how could you know? how could whoever told you this nonsense know? If someone has told you they know, which contradicts Jesus own words, I would a believer would recognize them as a false prophet like all those at the site below, some of whom are still around because we no longer stone false prophets to death.

The belief that 2012 is the year of the apocalypse is based on the Mayan calendar, not the Bible. It is also a misunderstanding.
The Mayan calendar is based on the cycles of astronomical alignments. The alignment upon which the longest cycle of their calendar is based will happen next in 2012.
That doesn't mean it is the end of the world. Their calendar rolls over after 2012, just like ours did after 1999. There are even Mayan prophesies for after 2012, so clearly they didn't believe that it was the year the world would end.
...
The Mayan calendar does NOT predict an asteroid impact in 2012. It makes no predictions whatsoever regarding asteroid impacts. That is all modern fantasy.

No one knows the date. Jesus said He didn't know nor the angels but only the Father. Those that predict have been wrong so many darn times its almost laughable that people still go nutty over some quack saying 'this is it'. A lot of people thought it was was when the bubonic plague killed millions of people.. some thought it was during the French Revolution.. the Civil War.. World War 2. In the 60s some 'holyman' in India predicted the world's end and people committed suicide. Then in the 70s was that Mufreesboro, Tennessee prediction.. and the Halle Bop Comet.. along with just the idea of a new millenium 2000(triple zeroes).
I like the date 2020 my self.. don't that just sound like a cool end of times date? Let's all start a pool.. betcha none of us will win ;-)

probably around 1450 when gutenberg invented the movable press...as a start date...
but it has taken hundreds of years to publish in different languages and get it around the world....you can check with the Bible translator society... and see how they are doing on this...i do not think it is in every language yet... or has reached every country or ethnic group.
the bible does not state the date 2012...that date comes from calculations from prophesies that are in the bible......2012 sound about correct but it seems like it could occur anytim after 2010. For example. the time of the gentiles is over one genration after the jews take jerusalem,...1967 + 40 ( approx generation time) = 2007....but what is a generation?
if a generation is 80 years, then it woudl be 2047
if a generation is 52 years, then it woudl be 2019..
but jesus said the generation that was alive to see this jewish prophesy come to completion would not pass away (die) until it was fullfilled. the average person liveds about 70-80 years now

According to the Mayan Calendar, an asteroid is going to hit the Earth and end life as we know it on December 23, 2012. The Bible began to be compiled shortly after the Jewish Council of Jamnia (AD 90) but was not "complete" until after the Second Council of Nicea (AD 787).

Our current Mayan calendar ends in 2012. That is the major change that has been considered in every age throughout history. There will be change. Someone smart enough to proceed with the calendar incorporating the changes that were evidently needed over time, will produce our future timing by calendar. Many believe it is a spiritual change we expect...turning the world from material focus to spiritual focus.

The end of the world has been predicted countless times just in the past century. What makes 2012 any different, except that, since it's in the future, it hasn't come & gone yet?

Think you're mixing spiritual facts here. Seems to me that the Mayan Calendar ends in 2012...and the Bible makes no reference to actual dates.
As for the Mayan Calendar ending...I'm thinking it will be the date of the next axis shift of Earth. But even that remains to be seen.

no where in the Bible does it state a day of judgement. Acutally it states the exact oppoiste. Jesus said that the day of judgement was unkown even to him, (while he walked the Earth) so, despite what some people may try to convience you of, they have no idea as to judgement day.
