Hi, i've suffered with migraines for years now and find the only treatment that works is sleep and complete darkness.

I can feel tired for 2 days afterwards, dull headache usually remains and sometimes the skin on my head can feel very bruised, i can also have a sensation of blood rushing in my head, difficult to describe.

I really only know about migraines in children. My son is 5 and has them, and the main "after effect" is extreme tiredness. Since sleep is pretty much the only thing that will cure a migraine, he seeks sleep at the onset of it, and is sleepy straight through. Since the headache can sometimes keep him up because of pain, he can be very tired afterwards, too.

Also, I notice he is pretty hungry afterwards, because he wont' eat during a migraine, and he usually vomits.

I have Migraine attacks once in a while. Usually I feel washed out after an attack. Some people also feel energized but I haven't really come across any such people.
