If you're out dancing and someone asks you to dance with them, what's a good way to say no?

I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings after they put themselves out there, but right now I just really don't want to dance with anyone. It's nothing personal - any suggestions?

Say exactly that.

Mention that it's nothing against them, but you're out with the girls and aren't really looking. It's 100 times better than the look of disdain and disgust that some girls throw at you when you attempt this.

Be nice and honest about it....say "I haven't had enough drinks yet for my dancing legs to work?" Politely smile and say "Thank you, I'm flattered" if you think he's cute, ask'em to buy you and drink instead and start up some chit chat!
I often asked guys who would ask my sister (a blonde) to dance instead of me (a brunette) is it b/c she's blonde? Most of the time the guys would say that she looked like she was wanting to have a good time, and I looked mad. So maybe if you don't look so "out there available" it would stop the approaches! Good Luck!

Say no thank you. I'm good just standing here. Or I don't feel being on the dance floor tonight. Just make up a polite excuse that shows them no harm. An excuse that shows them that you aren't interested and don't want to hurt his feelings in a kind of way.

there is no real nice way to tell someone that you dont want to dance with them. So just say I'm sorry but i really dont feel like dancing right now.

"Oh no, I'm sorry. I have a hurt ankle!" If you don't want to lie then say "No. But thank you SO much for asking!!"
