The whole idea of salvation is rubbish!

We need to be saved from our sins to avoid burning forever!
This statement alone conveys fear, not love of God.
Let's see what Christians mean.To not sin, you need to be perfect.

Who is perfect? No-one!
Is it possible to be perfect? NO!!!
Why is it impossible? God!

Since God created us being incapable of being perfect, how does it become my fault, if God designed us to fail?

This leads to the following scenario:

Humans are created incapable of perfection.
After making us fail so terribly, he creates a hell for us to burn in.
Then he sends Jesus to die for "our" sins.

This shows how much God really loves us. He is an insta-hero.
Presto! Come here, sinner, come to your killer!
I will save you, IF you apologize for not being able to help failing...

Poor sinner, strung along by God.
Destroyer God becomes hero through death threats & making you beg for your life at the hands of Jesus.

God is happy, all is well..., God feels powerful again!

PATIENTLY READ THIS PLEASE.

*THANK YOU.

Buddhism does not teach the concept of original sin. Humanity is not evil sinners.
Though we may not be perfect, our real
Nature is Goodness. This is an Optimistic
Understanding/View !

*Please Patiently read on. Thanks.

Do Buddhists believe that a God created everything and manipulates human lives? No, we do not. There are several reasons for this. Modern Sociologists, Scientists, and Psychologists, believe that religious ideas and especially the Creator-God idea have their origin in fear. The God-Concept is fear based.
*Siddhartha Gautama {The Buddha) says:

"Gripped by fear men go to the sacred mountains, sacred groves, sacred trees and shrines/churches ! ~ Dhammapada 188"

Continue to Patiently read.

*Primitive man found himself in a dangerous and hostile world, the fear of wild animals, of not being able to find enough food, of injury or disease, and of natural phenomena like thunder, lightning and volcanoes was constantly with him. Finding no security, he created the idea of a God that gives him comfort in good times, courage in times of danger and consolation when things went wrong. To this day, you will notice that people become more religious at times of crises, you will hear them say that the belief in a God gives them the strength they need to deal with life. You will hear them explain that they believe in a particular God because they prayed in time of need and their prayer was answered. All this supports the Buddha's teaching that the God-idea is a response to fear and frustration. The Buddha taught us to try to understand our fears, to lessen our desires and to calmly and courageously accept the things we cannot change. He replaced fear, not with irrational belief but with rational understanding.

*"The Second reason the Buddhists do not believe in a Creator-God is because there does not seem to be any evidence to support this idea. There are numerous religions, all claiming that they alone have God's words preserved in their holy book, that they alone understand God's nature, that their God exists and that the Gods of other religions do not. Some claim that God is masculine, some that she is feminine and others that it is neuter. They are all satisfied that there is ample evidence to prove the existence of their God but they laugh in disbelief at the evidence other religions use to prove the existence of another God. For centuries, men have prayed to God for protection from war, from natural calamities and disease. Yet till today, these prayers remain unanswered. This is not surprising. Even less surprising is that so many different religions having spent so many centuries trying to prove the existence of their God there remains no real, substantial or irrefutable evidence."

*The third reason the Buddhists do not believe in a Creator-God is that the belief is Not necessary. Some claim that the belief in a God is necessary in order to explain the origin on the universe. But this is not so. Science has very convincingly explained how the universe came into being without having to introduce the God-idea. Some claim that belief in God is necessary to have a happy, meaningful life. Again we can see that this is not so. There are millions of atheists and free-thinkers, not to mention millions of Buddhists, who live useful, happy and meaningful lives without belief in a God. Some claim that belief in God's power is necessary because humans, being weak, do not have the strength to help themselves. Once again, the evidence indicates the opposite. One Very often hears of many people who have overcome great disabilities and handicaps, enormous odds and difficulties, through their own inner resources, through their own efforts and without belief in a God. Some claim that God is necessary in order to give man salvation. But this argument only holds good if you accept the theological concept of salvation and there is no reason nor any other reasonable basis to accept such a concept, unless a person believes that the human race are evil sinners. And Buddhists do not believe humanity is evil. Based on his own experience, the Buddha saw that each human being had the capacity to purify the mind, develop infinite love and compassion and perfect understanding. He shifted attention from the heavens to the heart and encouraged us to find solutions to our problems through logic, reasoning, and insight.

**Patiently read this below.**

But so many people believe in some form of a Creator, it must be true.

Not so. *There was a time when everyone believed that the world was flat, but they were all wrong. The number of people who believe in an idea is no measure of the truth or falsehood of that idea. "The only way we can tell whether an idea is true or not is by looking at the facts and examining the evidence. If people continue to believe in God, they do so through faith alone, and faith is simply holding on to a belief when reason, logic and evidence says otherwise."

my friend, i have been a born again christian since 1992. i have been involved in the church and have been a great help to ppl who have needed it. thngs were fine. i recently fell back into sin that i am ashamed of, and i started asking those very same questions. why is it so hard? why do i have to continually conform to be accepted? why was i made this way? i was in tears...then anger, then shame...

i came to realize two things...
we always blame God. Satan, on the other hand, giggles in the corner while we fight with God. i dont know why we do this.

God really does love me and doesnt expect me to be perfect.

someone once gave me this example:
if u break the law and get a speeding ticket, u go to court and the judge says that u have to pay a fine. now, he has one of two options (1) let u go for nothing - but what would that say about the law and his honor for not upholding it; or (2) pay the fine for u. that way the law is honored for the benefit of all, but the penalty is paid. that's what Jesus did.

hit me up if u have any questions: zeke58@hotmail.com
take care

I've often wondered about this myself. If God is love, and I believe he is, it is impossible that he would be so cruel as to make us sinners and then ask for a huge sacrifice (his own son's life) to make up for our sins. I think what Jesus really saved us from is not sin (because we still sin, at least I do...), but rather from the belief that we have to be perfect in order to be loved. He proved over and over again, that we are all sinners, but that this is no excuse for refusing to love other people who are just as imperfect as we are. To me, his death is "just" a way to show us the measure of love that leads to happiness: total love.

Let me say this.
God made Hell for Satan and his followers. Humans are ot meant to go there. Christianity does not demand perfection, it demands effort. We do not (humans do not) have any means to be perfect by so we have to try and live in a mindset of the more Godly of the contridiction in us. I did not come to christianity out of fear. I will never try and convert anyone out of fear that is pathetic. We can help to stop sinning, we need assisstance from God to.... I apologize for the negative ideas you have of my Father and I ask that you keep an open spirit to Him okay? Thank you.

Do you feel better now?
What if the popular conception of "hell" is a major misunderstanding? What if "The Lake of Fire" turns out to be the incinerator where all the trash (i.e. harmful things) go, to be destroyed? Hell is nothing more than the grave, and is scheduled to go into that incinerator, according to Revelation.
But let them think they're gonna burn...it makes them behave.

Meantime, what you are actually being "saved" from is DEATH...that is, the second death. There is no coming back from that one.
However, the gift of eternal life is available...
Whatever any Christian tells you, you can't buy it, and it can't be had by begging for it, either.

When God created humans He created us with a will, i.e. the ability to make decisions. It was man's choice to disobey God's first command (not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil). God gave man the choice to sin against Him or to obey Him. It was man who decided to sin. So it's unfair to say that God created mankind as incapable of being perfect. Actually He created makind with the capability of being perfect. God did not design us to fail. We chose to fail. When Adam and Eve sinned, their sin nature was passed onto the rest of the human race. Proof? You don't have to teach a child to do wrong. Doing wrong comes naturally. We have to teach our children to be good.

So why did God create people with the ability to choose? Why didn't He create us to always be good, loving, kind and obedient to Him? Because we would be just like robots, programmed to do all the above. God wanted a relationship with His creation. You can't have a relationship with a robot. How would you feel if when you asked your wife why she was always so loving toward you, pleasing you, making your favourite meals, etc. and she replied, "I was programmed to love you"? Your relationship with her would be meaningless.

So it was actually a very loving act of God to send His Son to take the punishment for our sins (punishment we deserve) so that we could spend eternity in heaven with God (who is holy and cannot stand sin in His presence).

Why is it impossible? Because you are a decendant of Adam. He was created in God's image and without sin.He chose to sin because he was given free will to choose. If not, he would have only been a robot or puppet of God. You and I were born with that sin. We are not perfect. Jesus came for the sole purpose of living a sinless life to be the perfect sacrifice for all who believe. You have that same free will that Adam was given. It's your choice to make. Hell and fire is there only when you choose not to accept the free gift that Jesus offers you. God does not want you to go there, but wants you to choose to be in relationship with Him.

So true.

And to those who blame it all on Adam and Eve (or Romulus and Remus or Bugs and Daffy) - it is an invalid argument. If Adam was made perfect, he would not have chosen sin. Therefore he could not have been made perfect and the argument that god created man in order to save him still holds.

God created people with a free will. He did that because He wanted people to follow Him because they loved HIm, not because He told them to. forced love is not real love at all.

Hell was created for an angel named Lucifer (Satan) who thought he could become like God. He got one third of the angels in heaven to follow him. So for challenging God he was cast out of heaven. Hell was created for fallen angels, NOT for people.
Since God gave us a free will, we can choose who we are going to follow. if we regect God, then that leaves us following Satan because that's the only other path there is.

God is perfect. because of that, only perfectness can dwell around Him. because of Satan and his crafty ways to get us to follow him, there is no one who is perfect. because of that, we were all destined to die and burn in Satan's hell. but God loved us and wanted us to be with Him. and the only way to make that possible, would be for Him to take away our sin. so God sent his son Jesus to die in our place. all we have to do is believe.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that whoever believes in Him, will not perish but will have everlasting life." John 3:16

Adam's transgression brought about "death" and "exile from the presence of God".

Christ saved us from "death", by Resurrection, and saved us from "exile" by giving us the chance to repent.

48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
(New Testament | Matthew 5:48)

Christ would not ask us to be perfect if he does not expect us to be perfect. Christ would not died on the cross if he did not want us to succeed. Failures are those who stop trying.
