I don't have very many pet peeves, but for me the one I hate the most is when they do not use periods after their sentences. For example, if someone were to write a letter, I want to be able to tell what they are saying.

I do not want to read a letter that goes on and on and never quits not using periods creates confusion I would think people have more common sense than this boy writing like this is difficult when you are not used to writing like this

It is difficult for me to write like this. My hubby writes like this so it is hard to read his letters. We are not apart very long, but when I am on vacation and he is working, we write when we can. What is your pet peeve in the written English language (meaning written errors)?

Just of the top of my head I have the following: "each of them are," "different than," "the point is, is that" and misuse of apostrophes.

I agree with you about full stops. It looks like there's something missing when they're not there!

I also recommend 'Eats, Shoots and Leaves'. You must have heard of it; it's by Lyn Truss.

There are no blunders however the order of a few areas needs changing e.g "The back area is the place you could alter the time and insert or get rid of batteries. the front area has a around physique that holds the glass. It weighs approximately fifty grams and is, for my area, solid high quality. The numbers won't be sparkling in case you have undesirable imaginative and prescient or your eyes are extra advantageous than twenty 5 inches away." solid luck which comprise your English. I desire i ought to write in yet another language with as plenty means.

Misusing apostrophes and quotation marks makes me twitch. It's not that hard, and the exceptions aren't remarkably difficult, either. The their/there/they're thing is a big problem for me, too.
