inconveniencing people on Sunday mornings with Evolutionist talk and pamphlets? No

burning people at the stake? Yes

calling all believers "infidels" and "enemies of Darwin"? Yes

shouting "Jihad!! Jihad!" when someone characterizes Science? Yes

quoting scripture? quoting some rather dubious science books

being reluctant to have their ideology questioned? yes

believing in imaginary beings? in imaginary things (like membranes which remain unproven but are accepted by theoretical physicists)

being blind at the contradictions in their literature? yes

closing their minds to other views of nature? yes

going to war to defend their beliefs and sacred places? no but the this question is loaded, atheists have fought for their beliefs. By definition they have no sacred places.

So your point is? I am an agnostic and find atheists even more annoying than theists because of their misuse of science to prove their beliefs are true. At least theists just deny the science.

1.There probably are some evolutionist talks on Sunday mornings, although I don't personally know of any.

2.Again, has probably happened, but I don't know of it.

3.Nope, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

4.No, but why would they shout a term for a religious wore when they aren't religious?

5.Yes they do it all the time on here. Although usually to point out contradictions.

6.Yes, but not as fiercely as religious people.

7.No, but those who are religious don't think that they do either. There is now way to no for sure as God can't be proved 100% nor disproved 100%.

8.Invalid point, they have no literature.

9.Yes, they have completely closed their minds to the view of Creationism that can neither be proved nor disproved.

10.Again, Invalid point, they have no beliefs (at least not the type you are talking about), and the have no sacred places (of the type you are talking about).

No, but I think Atheists can just find other things to fight over. It's not the religion that makes people wacky, it's the need to believe in something that can explain away life's problems and hardships. Hitler wasn't religious was he? No but he blamed Jews for just about every problem that Germany had. Furthermore, most of these questiions that you're asking refers to ORGANIZED RELIGION and not simply believing in God.

In truth, only the Abrahamic religions go to war for belief. Other cultures war for land and resources but only the Abrahamc religions feel compelled to kill for God. By only the broadest of definitions did the pagan Romans or the Japanese etc fight for god. They believed that the Emperor ruled with divine blood but never warred for god, only for the glory and honor of Rome and Japan.

No, but just the other day one would not give me a beer. He said that he had only one left and he could not share the last beer. I said I understood, but I really wanted the beer. But other then that atheists have been very reasonable and rational people.

*Note to self* Stop running around yelling Jihad all the time. I didn't know we weren't supposed to be doing that.
