doesn't it drive you crazy??? my dogs eat the cat poop in the yard left by the neighborhood strays, and now they're starting into the litter box. I ended up changing my cat's litter box to one with a lid. The dogs are both labs so they can't get into it and eat the litter. Its worked so far--- its been a couple weeks.

Confine the dog in a room where he can't get to it. It is too irresistible to some dogs.

Put the box where your dog can't get it.

That's the easiest way.
