Why does my boyfriend make fun of big girls?

My boyfriend makes fun of big girls but I've seen these two other girls he went out with and they were chubby. And I am also but he tells me "You're not fat, you're thick. I like that. That's big" And he'll point at a girl that's probably my size.

No, no he's not a jerk! Really. He doesn't like laugh in their face or talk crap. He'll just be like "Geesh!" When he sees a big girl eating a lot. But some big girls he thinks are pretty. Well, not really girls like Rosie.

Your boyfriend is still immature and sees girls only physically right now instead of who they are inside. This more than likely with change in time(years). Don't expect too much change - it is a matter of the way guys think in today's society until they start getting a little thick themselves(then sometimes their attitude still doesn't change). Give him a few years and he won't be the same person you know now.

Thats an easy one...because fat people are funny. You ever see a 300 pound woman play volleyball...hillarious. If he points out women that are the same size as you and poke fun at them, hes trying to tell you that you need to lose weight.

If he's calling other girls fat but they're the same size as you than he's calling you fat aswell.

He's immature in my opinion and trust me I've dated a lot of idiots.

I think you deserve someone who isn't going to look at other girls while with you and def. not make it obvious that he's looking at them by pointing them out.

Also what happens if you're with this guy, you get married and gain weight? or when you're pregnant? are you going to be a fatty then?

I don't like guys who are small minded and straight up stupid like he is.

You're boyfriend's insecure. He doesn't want people to know he's really a chubby chaser, so he makes fun of bigger chicks. He needs to realize there's nothing wrong with it and shouldn't care what other people think anyways.

Whoa... this is a sign of a truly unhappy person. When someone has to make fun of other people, or tear them down a notch, its because they themselves are unhappy with something in their life and this is their way of expressing their unhappiness. I personally wouldnt hang out with someone who felt the need to tear others down. That is just rude, and untollerable.

It sounds like he is trying to flatter you, but in reality it is offending you. You need to tell him that you dont appreciate comments about big girls or any girls for that matter. We come in all shapes and sizes, and so do men. Tell him to keep the comments to himself.

maybe you can tell him how it bothers you when he makes fun of bigger girls.. as you see yourself as being a bit of a bigger girl.. and it hurts your feelings..
and it probably doesn't do very good for your self eesteem

if he continues on this way then maybe your better off without him.

I would ask him what his definition of 'fat' is, what's the difference b/w thick and fat. After that clarification, you may understand what he's getting at.
