Sad but we have two cats called Bovril and Marmite - I'm not keen on either of them!

Bovril is best on well buttered toast. Second best is Bovril sandwiches with lots of butter or marge.
Bovril tastes OK as a drink (the B vitamins are good for the nervous system, so it makes a great a great bedtime drink), but it can be an acquired taste when taken as a drink.
Marmite on toast is a poor substitute to Bovril on toast.
I can't even imagine Marmite sandwiches or taken as a drink.

Chicken Bovril sandwiches.
Beef Bovril with cheese on toast, or sandwiches, lovely.
Once I tried Bovril, I didn't go back to Marmite

Marmite is one of the nicest things in the whole wide world. I could eat it straight from the jar with a spoon. And I called my first hamster Marmite (she died of fright in a thunderstorm).
