to "thewanderer" , not quite the answer I'm looking for. That was very rude of you, especially considering one of my children saw your answer.

Oh my. So many innacurate answers! Country Bear Jamboree closed about four years ago to be replaced by the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. The "Rockin" version of Space Mountain featuring music of the Red Hot Chili Peppers is slated to end in April.
About four months before your trip, visit disneyland.com. They have a schedule (currently linked in the upper right area of the screen) that shows exactly what would be happening during your planned trip and which attractions may be closed.
The BIG new ride is the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage which opens this summer.
Pirates of the Caribbean was revamped a couple years ago to include animatronic figures from the films. Tom Sawyer Island is getting a Pirates makeover, so your kids might like to tromp around over there.
Haunted Mansion Holiday is rumored not to return. They do a Nightmare Before Christmas overlay to the Mansion and, if it returns, the Mansion will be closed in September to install it.
Its A Small World also gets a holiday makeover, and the characters sing Christmas songs. I love the mermaids singing "Jingle Shells".
The decorations around the park are beautiful, and I love how New Orleans Square looks at Christmas, especially the Court of Angels - a little hidden out-of-the-way area that is easy to miss.
Of course your kids would love all the other rides as well. I think Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters is fun for everyone. But be sure to see the Merry Christmas Parade - I love the huge marching Toy Soldiers blowing their trumpets.
Also, depending on your religious feelings, Disneyland is now doing a Candlelight Processional in the evenings, where the story of the nativity is read, backed by a choir. And Mickey has his own show, a version of A Christmas Carol. These may require separate tickets, so be sure to look for info on the Disneyland.com website.
California Adventure is also worth a visit, although the Christmas themeing is less. But Santa appears in his summer duds over here, as opposed to his traditional attire worn at Disneyland's Big Thunder Ranch (re-themed as a Christmas corral). Your kids would enjoy the rides, certainly "Its Tough to be a Bug". Unfortunately, the new interactive ride Toy Story Midway Mania isn't slated to open until 2008.

All of the rides at Disneyland are great, but I especially recommend these:
All of the mountain rides (Splash, Space, Thunder, Matterhorn)
Pirates of the Caribbean
It's a Small World Holiday
Haunted Mansion Holiday--I'm not a big Haunted Mansion (or Nightmare before Christmas) fan, but I like this verson.
Peter Pan's Flight
Alice in Wonderland
For shows, I'd recommend seeing:
Both the fireworks and the parade
The Tiki Room
Billy Hill and the Hillbillies (at the Golden Horseshoe)--they're hilarious!
If you go to California Adventure, you must ride Soarin' Over California! It's amazing, and unlike any other ride I've been on. Tower of Terror and California Screamin' are also fun. And make sure to check out the Animation Studio in the Hollywood Backlot section.

I just returned home from my week long honeymoon at Disney. Honestly, ride Everything. Even the "kiddie" rides are such a great experience. Don't miss the legendary Peter Pan ride in Fantasyland. Every ride is great. Also, pick up a schedule and try to catch the shows as well.
I strongly suggest that you include Disney's California Adventure park in your trip. The rides there are not to be missed. Soarin' Over California, California Screamin', and The Tower of Terror are among the greatest rides I have ever experienced.
Have fun!!

Be sure to report the Wanderer. I sure did for adult content.
Ok, be sure to go on the haunted mansion. At Christmas time, Disneyland completely re-decorates it to resemble the Nightmare before Christmas. It is absolutely fantastic and a visual treat! Your kids are all old enough to go on the "big kid" rides, so be sure to do the following:
Matterhorn
Splash Mountain
Space Mt.
Thunder Mt.
Pirates of the Caribbean
Also be sure to catch these classic shows:
Country Bear Jamboree
Tiki Room
Fireworks at night!

If you haven't been to Disneyland before, I would recommend Rockin' Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Indiana Jones, Matterhorn, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Star Tours. I would say the fireworks at midnight is enjoyable too.
