If the relationship is based on love, the other person would accept wearing a cheerio as a ring until one could afford to buy a better one. It's more about how the two feel about each other than the token diamond on her left hand

It's not whether you have money or not, it's really the thought that counts. I have a friend that got her ring from wal mart and she is very happy cause it was the sentimental thought of everything.

rent a ring from Shane Company Jewelers, and when you have enough money to buy one to keep, do it...I heard it on a commercial once
