My bf is moving to turkey for his job and i will still be living in the US. We plan to visit each other and I know we love each other, but can this work? Has anyone made it through a long distance relationship

It would be better to mutually end it, so you can both move on and not waste time you could be seeing/doing other people. Long distance relationships never work.

I dont know of anyone who has a successful long distance relationship. Its too hard to maintain. People wind up getting hurt and you spend the entire time missing them as opposed to spending time with them. You both should talk about this and not put unreasonable expectations on this relationship. I hope you one day find happiness with someone who is local and you can see on a regular basis. Good luck

Im sorry to say that its going to be pretty much over at first u will be ok calling each other but then later u will call each other less and less.. if u love him like u say you do then u should move overthere with him either than that u can pretty much break up and just say that if he ever comes back ull see if u guys can still go back together sorry to say that but its the truth.. goos luck.. =)

Long distance relationships almost never work. Please don't fool yourself into thinking you will be the exception. That will just lead to heartache.
Save yourself and him the trouble and break up now. That way when he comes back, there will be no baggage. Otherwise, one of "you" will be cheating on the other within a couple of months.
