Red Taild Buzzards often hunt squirrels. In many states you need a licence to keep a raptor and have to have had a years aprenticeship with a more experienced falconer. It could be more it's been a while since I checked. I suggest you try and source a local falconer who can help you, take you out with his birds and teach you good husbandry. You can also take a course where they teach you all about the managment and handling skills needed to keep birds. We offer these but we're based in england.
