Here are some quotes from the Bible. Please don't say they were taken out of context. Some things are immoral in every context.

1. God approves buying slaves
"Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids." Leviticus 25:44
2. Baby murder
"Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones. " Psalms 137:9
3. A father offering his daughters to a mob.
"Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof." Genesis 19:8

These are just a few samples of the aburdities and immoral points of view from the Bible. The Bible is not a book that I would want to give to a child as a guide to living. Let me stress again that there are some things that are immoral in every context.

Because God is Good, and the Holy Bible is Gods book.

I don't care about all your antichrist commentaries. Peoples sins aren't God either.

good point bro, it can be confusing...i for one am black and christian and i had the same question about slavery. it turns out that slavery then wasnt like slavery in early america. One became a slave sometimes through war. if ur land was conquered, they would take some as slaves. also some chose to be slaves because they basically didnt have any better options. Also, it was more of servanthood, like a butler or maid, or gardner, than what we think of as a slave.

Anyway, its obvious that you've definitely read at least some portions of the bible. Unfortunately, what is also obvious is that you must have missed many others, or chose not to mention them. I am not familiar with the Psalms text but i do know that there are dozens of verses in the bible where we are extorted to cherish children (even the unborn). i.e. Jesus: "never suffer the little ones to come to me...blessed are the children...come to me as would a child..."

The father that gave his daughter up, Lot I believe but forget exactly, was an example of the WRONG thing to do. That city was subsequently burned to the ground for its wickedness, I hope u noticed.
Just because the bible records the evil deeds of men, doesnt mean that it condones them. If it didnt record them, it would be criticized for ignoring it. cant win i guess....

The Bible from which you are taking your quotes is not the 'original document' ... it's a 'translation of a translation of a translation ...' and in the case of the three 'quotes' you gave, there is a 'much larger story' behind each of them ... and since much of the Bible isn't 'factual Truth' but actually 'allegorical literature' then you must 'consider' how much time has passed since the Bible was written, and must take EACH AND EVERY QUOTE IN CONTEXT with DEEP THOUGHT about what that 'section of the Bible' means to you, the reader ... the INDIVIDUAL READER, that is, not 'one reader among many' as you 'imply' we all are ...
And the Bible is called the 'Good Book' because after all of the 'immoralities' of the past, the man Jesus came and became 'the Christ' (anointed by God) and changed EVERYTHING THAT CAME BEFORE by 'dying on the cross for ALL of our sins' ... that means ALL of the sins ALL of us 'after Christ ever commit, as well as ALL of the sins of ALL of the people who came BEFORE CHRIST. That is called by many the 'Good News' ... which is a translation of the word 'Gospel' ... and thus it is that the Bible is called 'the Good Book' ... because like any other book, you must read 'the whole story' to understand it, and not just the individual quotes (and many other quotes) from that book.
So, I'm sorry to tell you this, but your argument that because the Bible has several 'immoral quotes' it is an 'immoral book' is wrong ... because I've read the WHOLE book, and I know the 'plot' ... maybe you need to 'read it through to the end' to understand it the way I do ... instead of simply 'picking and choosing' the quotes to 'fit what you WANT to believe.'

Because the verses you quoted above are not to be taken out of context. You must always consider each verse along with what other parts of the Bible say. It's understandable how someone who's knowledge of the bible is limited could misinterpret what he or she reads. But when you come to have a personal relationship with God, and begin reading His word, you better begin to understand that the Bible is indeed a "good book."

There is a difference between sacred history and profane history and the scriptures contain both. Your on the right track; nevertheless, at the end of the day, Jesus is who he says he is- the son of God.

Are you going to use the error's to justify the denial of Christ?

The Bible does contain all the answers. However, Its been mixed with mans history, such as: slavery.

In light of what the Muslims say about our Bible; believe me I am reluctant to point out any faults in which the MUSLIMS will use against Jesus.

God bless and:

Peace.......

Regarding Point #1
Stop using the KJV ...it's over 400 years old! Language is in a continuous state of flux. The reference here is to a hired hand.
True, some hired hands did not get a salary, but they did receive food, a place to stay and consideration.
Regarding #2
This is not something God is encouraging. He is predicting that others will have that attitude.
Regarding #3
If 2 angels visited you, to save your life, to what extent would you go to protect them?
We know to what extent Lot would go.

I am often amazed when people are offended by something that they don't understand. However, I really believe that you are far more intelligent than your question suggests. The things you mentioned are very easily understood if one wants to find an answer. Are you really seeking an answer or are you just "throwing stones"?

Why do you put so much effort into trying to refute or find fault in something that is obviously calling to you so strongly?

Jesus' death and resurrection to pay the sin debt for repentant Christians sins is the GOOD NEWS that we are all commissioned to spread.
