guys who cheat are often immature and repressed. they also usually have low self esteem, which may not always be evident.

they cheat because they enjoy the thrill they get from it ... the thrill of the chase, the thrill of potentially being caught, the thrill of being desired by another woman.

when any man cheats it's because he feels there's something missing in his relationship. he's probably with the wrong woman and too spineless to do anything about it, so he's therefore susceptible to looking elsewhere.

it's mostly ego and insecurity.

it can be pretty difficult to tell when a guy is cheating, depends on the nature of your relationship and/or whether you live together. sometimes the signs will be obvious, and you're just oblivious to them because you want it to work so much, othertimes guys are just really devious and deceitful, and very clever at not being caught.

i have a friend who has a gorgeous loving girlfriend, and he cheats on her constantly, they don't live together and she has no idea ... he doesn't really want to be with this girl, but thinks she's a good fall back or safety net, and (bizarrely) doesn't want to upset her by finishing with her. Like I said before, this is just spineless - on two fronts - he's scared to be on his own, and he should just be man enough to end things with her, especially if he's seeking fulfillment elsewhere.

Basically the problem with this girl is that although she's really pretty she's just not challenging enough for him, it's too easy.

I've heard it said that a woman should never let a man know she needs him. I think that's true. It works both ways with guys and women or women and guys, but if one person is being too loving, doing all the running, and not making the other person work a little bit, then the other person gets too comfortable, and therefore a little bored and starts seeking excitement elsewhere.

1. You keep answering the phone but the caller hangs up without saying a word.
2. He has to "work late" at the office.
3. He is going to a weekend conference - without you.
4. He has lipstick on his collar.
5. He starts shaving just before he goes out of the door.
7. He has multiple mobile (cell) phones.
8. He has strange phone numbers in his pockets.
9. He uses a secret code to listen to his phone messages..
10. He no longer wants sex with you twice a day.
11. He starts to dye his hair.
12. He has a smile on his face.
13. You catch him having sex with another woman.

Men cheat because that is what nature intended. It's all about genetics.

Well the way I figured that my ex cheated on me was by the way he acted he never called me like he used to. And he never would go anywhere with me only if we were going out of town. He would always make up some excuse to why he couldn't go with me. But then i realized that he didn't want to be seen with me so that the other girl couldn't see him with me but i realized that guys only cheat if they can't get what they want or they aren't interested in you like they used to. Guys cheat because they don't think that is wrong and most of the time they don't think about how us girls feel.

why do girls cheat? for similar reasons i guess.
you can never be sure about anything in this world, however, if he doesnt have time for you, finds incredible excuses to avoid you, he acts differently, then maybe you have a problem. i personally believe that you should make a real discussion with your bf and state your problems. also, it would be good to judge others by what they do and not what they say.
