The Bible itself indicates that belief in God is based upon eveidence.
Even if one does not agree with the conclusions, the Bible offers such logical eveidence as Romans 1:20 - "For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable."
And Psalm 19:1, 2 - "The heavens are declaring the glory of God;
And of the work of his hands the expanse is telling. One day after another day causes speech to bubble forth, And one night after another night shows forth knowledge"
And Hebrews 3:4 - "Of course, every house is constructed by someone, but he that constructed all things is God."
Even faith is based upon evidence. This can be seen from the KJV of Hebrews 11:1 - "Now faith is the SUBSTANCE of things hoped for, the EVIDENCE of things not seen."
(NWT - "Faith is the ASSURED EXPECTATION of things hoped for, the EVIDENT DEMONSTRATION of realities though not beheld.")

Well, I would ask you, " By what scriptural authority do you make that claim by?"
My scriptural authority to say that I apparently did need proof are the many examples of it in the Bible that show that God works on certain people in relevatory visions and dreams.
So I would say that it depends upon the person, both can be true.
It is true that it is all about faith, that is; faith in the right direction-- Jesus being the Author and Finisher of faith. I do not typically agree with the term, " Blind Faith", because I find that it means that one has no evidence at all. And the ability to respond to something without any 'evidence', one form of evidence being knowledge, is not tenable. How does one respond to something that is not tenable?
So now that you have followed my reasoning ( hopefully) , I would say that I disagree. lol

Disagree, it's certainly possible to believe in the existence of god based on the documented evidence in the Bible. If your belief is based on evidence then counter arguments could perswade you that there is no God. However if your belief is based on faith then such arguments should not change your mind. Faith is much stronger than fact.

It certainly would appear that people *can* believe in a god based on no valid evidence at all. I don't think that is a good thing - faith is a flaw rather than a virtue. Presumably people do so because we all have a tendency to believe what they wish were true (or fear might be true) rather than what is indicated by satisfactory evidence. It's not easy to be rational...

Agree. Faith is the willful suspension of reason. At the expense of your own mortal life.
You get to have your cake an eat it too. After your dead, that is.

Disagree. There is plenty of proof out there for those who are honestly looking and know where to look.

It actually depends on how you define God. That is why Hinduism is so successful. Their definintions of God are pretty good.
