How much Omega-3 fish oil should I take daily?

I am taking Omega-3 fish oil softgels (1000 mg) once a day.
The suggested use on the bottle says to take one or two softgels two times daily, so that could be a total of 4 softgels daily.
Do you think that the one softgel (1000 mg) I am taking daily is enough?

I follow the directions on the bottle. Try that and if it seems to bother you, then go back to one twice daily.
