I am on methadone and I dont know what the hell all these other people are talking about . If I had not gotten on it when I did I would have been dead. I was addicted to ultram. I was taking anywhere from 12 to 15 pills a day. That was for about 2yrs.I got to the point when i would do anything to get them.When I couldnt get any pills I would go thru terrible withdrawl. I was thinking suicide. Mostly on the days I couldnt get them.Finally I called a clinic and asked about methadone because I thought you had to be addicted to just herion to get on it.They told me to come in because they said yes they could help me. That was five yrs ago.And I am not sorry I did it. Some people agree with methadone others just have bad things to say about it. But everyboody has opinions. There like a__holes, everbody has one. Take care now.

Methadone is also a horrible drug...
Get a chemical detox once and be done with it using counseling and re directive therapy.
Once you detox chemically all at once your body is rid of the addictive substance, the addiction is mental by proxy and the addiction should therefore be dealt with mentally, not with a drug that is 10 times worse than any Opiate!
Methadone is legal heroin! It is a damn shame what it does to people and how they can never become free of it.
You have two choices with methadone... A junkie, or a tropicana kid.
Neither one is very much better than the other if you ask me?

I moved b/c my boyfriend I was seeing had been on methadone for over 6 years trying to get clean. He got involved with some sheisty people and stopped going to treatment and started selling crack, I haven't talked to him for at least 6 months. For all I know he might be dead. Please, just keep drinking your ******* methadone.

WAS ON METHADONE 60 MG FOR ALMOST A YEAR GOT VIOLENTLY ILL AND RUSHED TO ER PHYSICIAN SAID HAD I NOT GOT THERE WITHIN THE HOUR I WOULD HAVE BEEN DEAD ALL DUE TO THE METHADONE DO NOT TAKE IT
