Well, back in the old days, it made perfect sense to believe in God. Back when the winds were controlled by spirits, the Earth was a disk, and the sun revolved around it, and there were sea monsters in the oceans, it was quite logical.
Now, because we understand more about how the world works, God makes less and less sense.
The problem is, believing in God fulfilled certain psychological and emotional needs that the majority of people possess. So, the problem arises that one wants or needs to believe in God, but one finds that doing so causes conflict with parts of the contemporary world view. This conflict creates confusion and angst, causing some people to reject parts of the logical, scientific worldview, while causing others to reject the idea of God.
The reason why so few people are atheists is that we all tend to believe with our guts, rather than our brains. It's not enough to say that both points of view have their advantages, it's more important to realize that both points of view are, overall, disadvantageous.
Like it or not, if your a Christian, your worldview doesn't make sense. And like it or not, if you're an atheist, you're stuck with a certain amount of angst and unhappiness. Scientific progress had done its work, as millions of years of evolution has done its. Most of us are wired to believe in something, and we are also wired to use logic. We live in an age where simple belief is impossible, but we've yet to find the thing that will take its place.

I love Him, His Son Jesus and The Holy Spirit, what I don't like is how man has abused His name and that of His Son. He taught love, peace, understanding and forgivness. Yet listen to all who speak in His name... The Cathloics, The Baptist, all man made religions teach not what they should and the TV evangilists are the worst.... We need to know Him on a more personal level.. Good Luck and God Bless...

Which one?
Yours? The one Jesus believed in? The one Muhammad believed in? The one the Pope believes in?
No two people believe in exactly the same God. Everyone disagrees on his behavior and attributes.
If you want my opinion on your God, you'll have to be more specific. Maybe you should start by describing him in detail.

Someone probably saw a bird, and then decided to make a bullshit religion that the bird was a powerful being that if you worshiped, you would be rewarded.

You must know someone to form an opinion!
It is wrong to form judgements or conclusions from hearsay!
I will wait until I meet him, before making any decision of what I think of him!
