Because we didn't believe in that god in the first place.

Edit: no, what made THEM "believe" was a convert-or-die mandate.. let's not rewrite history.

If so, then the prophets would all have been wrong as well the Bible. The Jews to this day do not beleive they played a part in the crucifiction of their deliverer. God spoke that these were His chosen people, so one would think it all began there and to have the entire world believe unto him, Christ fulfilled prophecy and Paul primarily was sent unto the pagan nations. He was a persecuter of Christians, so his becoming a deciple of Christ showed more vilitidiy perhaps. All like God's plan.

Isn't your question a tad egotistical?
Do you really think you have a few suggestions for God?
Where is your trust?
Where is your study and research, before suggesting how God could have done things better?

Mr. Sho....the Jews were, and still are, his promised people. The Pagans (Romans, Greeks, Gentiles, etc.) are called his beloved because they believed on faith that which they had never seen. God is for all people.
