it makes you go blind....jk.......but is hellish strong stuff, it makes girls fall on their backs with their legs in the air like a V shape

some of the absinth you can buy is just like any other strong alcohol. I have had some which was bought in the czech republic and that was something else (but still essentially like strong alcohol). It depends what you want from a party- if lots of drunk people, then get some (although it may be as good an idea if that is the plan to get loads of cheap vodka)
If you like aniseed flavoured strong drinks, go for it!

I have sampled absinthe on a couple of occasions. It's an interesting experience, but not all that exotic. Kind of like drinking licorice-flavored Lidocaine...after the first sip, your taste buds are totally numb. But don't let it fool you, it can pack a powerful wallop. I have seen people get drunk after drinking no more than a couple of ounces.
Much like any other potent alcohol, the "deadliness" of absinthe comes from long-term usage. Hopefully, you are not going down that road.

Its pretty powerful stuff an can make you faaaaall down. If you can get hold of some Gammel Danske try that, drink in shot glasses and chase with bottles of carlsberg or budvar or some such. have fun!

It affects people in different ways. To me it's just a strong spirit - tastes nice but nothing special. Some people do apparently experience hallucinations and other extreme effects but that's not guaranteed.

um yeah...crazy stuff ive drank it twice...and i can handle my liqour....the first time i had a screwdriver looked over and saw the bottle of absynthe and said ill have one of those...they take a shot glass put a slotted spoon on top and a sugar cube on top of that pur the absynthe over it it is a hellishly green liquid...then they lite the cube on fire for a second...drop it in your drink let it burn for a sec then stir it up...drin it down.....let me tell you 3 of those and i was gone..I woke up in a hotel room no clothes on and thinking where the hell is my truck...luckily it was at the bar......anyhow be careful with it it will tear you up

I have never tried it, but be aware it is a neurotoxin and causes neural cell death, but then again so does a bump on the head. Just don't use it frequently or excessively and you should be alright.

If you want to get slaughtered then carry on but be warned the taste is like a strong mouth wash... if you like the green aftershock you'll like this... really bad hangover though. really bad

Shouldn't bother. It's overrated and doesn't do half what people say it does. Buy a bottle of Absolut or Finlandia vodka instead.
