Yes and no. Good question though. I think many, if not most, would like to believe in God. It would give many of us a comfort if there was a wise and loving being who actually had a plan, whether we understood it or not, that would make a bit of sense of our lives and the world we live in. I think that religion has too often thrust a concept of 'God' within a diverse, opposing and bewildering array of doctrine and dogma. The common thread is that we must have blind faith, which for too many of us has succeeded only in confusing and testing our incredulaity.
I once read some graffiti: If Jesus took Theology classes he would fail. This symbolized the despair that many of us must feel. My final thought must be that if there is a God , that God exists whether we believe it or not. If there is no God, we must somehow fill the huge gap that is left. How we should do this is perhaps the punchline of what is left - the cosmic joke.

Why not believe there is only one God?
Science helped us to improve our living but cannot explain or create the existence of the nature, human and livings.
Why you have "STILL believe" in your question? Did you once believed there is a God?
Or it is because Americans are turning away from God in their political system.
For sure the next generation won't respect God as their ancests did. You can do few predictions how this country is becoming..without faith and knowin there is God

Devils "believe" one God: James 2:19.
So then, "believe not": Mt24:23; 1Jn4:1.
The over-all objective is not to believe.
Over-all objective is to "know": Jn 8:32.
Know the truth makes you free of believe lies.
No God, Know Problem ... Law Law
Know God, No Problem ... Grace
The law (and lie) "was" given by Moses,
but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
He taketh away the first(sin and death),
that he may e-stablish the second(e-life).
Law: press Delete to take away death (extinction)
Grace: press Save to e-stablish e-life (e-salvation)
The God of all grace (no law) make you...e-stablished.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus->Christ with you all. Amen.

No. People believe that they deserve more than they have on here on Earth so they made up a cosmic Santa Claus to give them presents when they die.
