He is the creator of every galaxy and all forms of life. Since other inhabited platets are not mentioned in the scriptures, it is left to speculation. God's character is such that He does not love any individual more than any other person, so I don't think that he would have a favorite planet or race of people.

Well, at least everything in this universe that we know points to God making earth for man and there are none others like it. The entire universe supports the earth because if it changed one little bit life on earth would not be.

King David asked the same question. He couldn't believe that God would create us lower than the angels yet prefer us. King David is the one that told us that God knows the hairs on our head by number. That we are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Once you get just a little glimpse of who God really is you can't help but wonder why does he love mere man so much.

"don't be deluded into thinking that 'billion' is a big number"

Uuuh... that's pretty ignorant. Humans can't even properly grasp the size of ANYTHING in the quantity of a billion, as we have never seen anything so large. If you had a tally, and made a check mark ever 60 seconds with no breaks, it would take ONE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED AND THREE YEARS to reach a billion tally marks. It would take about 100 generations of people using their entire lives doing this to complete this task with 100 year lifespans.

And on top of that, there are about ONE HUNDRED BILLION galaxies estimated in the universe. This is quite literally beyond human comprehension outside the realm of mathematics, where we are forced to deal with these large numbers in exponential form.

So really, we are VERY insignificant in the galaxy. If you or someone you know gets killed in a car accident, guess what? The universe will go on without them. The lives of humans, and the fate of the tiny rock we live on, has literally NO STATISTICAL SIGNIFICANCE in the universe.

Anyone who is megalomaniacal enough to believe they are important in this universe is the one who is delusional.

The ability to be amazing creatures when our nature dictates low animal like qualities.

That should be something to be loved for.

But am not a Bible-ist :)

As for Earth, yes, this is His favorite because of all the VARIETY :D

As for our rank...no idea.

I am atheist and I have always tried to imagine seeing it their way and here is my explanation. God created the Earth and then the rest of the billions of galaxies around it. God started with us and just made us and made the rest of that stuff around us. I personally don't believe that but I can see how a believer could believe it.

i know this question is just designed to inflame, as i see many of them. I am an athiest and I often ponder as to the enormity of our universe and how there MUST be an inifinite number of plantes with life in an infinite amount of space. However I have also ponered that what if we really are special and in all that vastness there is only 1 planet with life and it's us. We would be pretty important. Two extreme answers to a commonly asked question.

It's pretty obvious God doesn't care for earth. Why else would he set so many religions to hate each other? Maybe he's just a sadist. And God said," This will be fun.... I'll tell the Muslims, Jews, and Christians all the same story with different endings. They will all kill each other for believing their story is the only correct version.... What a riot! Bwah ha ha ha."

Earth is the only planet, as is clearly stated in the bible. The "billions of galaxies, stars & planets in the universe" are just lights that god embedded in the firmament. You have obviously been listening to those "theories" of "scientists" who call themselves "astronomers" rather than reading the true facts as inerrantly described in Genesis.

One of the biggest secrets that world governments are keeping is that at the geophysical southern pole, there is a gigantic mountain. It resembles a golf tee, thousands of miles high.

Keep listening for a deep booming voice saying "Fore!".
