Well, it depends on the extent of the correction. I had mine on for 18 months and it cost right around $2000.00. However, I did not have any over/under bite alignment problems, it was simply to correct my crooked teeth.

two years of full traditional braces costs (on average) about $5,000. Ceramic brackets are about $500 extra. These costs do not include x-rays, extractions, or special appliances. Invisalign treatment (in most cases) costs about the same as traditional braces.
But that varies. Let me explain.
If you have a health insurance plan that covers orthodontics, you might pay less, especially if you go to a provider that is in your insurance network. But be careful. Just as you wouldn't choose a medical specialist only because he is on your plan, don't choose an orthodontist soley based on this criteria. Get a consultation (usually free or minimal cost) and see how comfortable you are with that person. No amount of money saved can make up for two years with an orthodontist you don't like or don't have confidence in. Also, remember that most dental plans cover braces only before treatment begins. So if you've already started treatment, you may be out of luck.
The amount of time you need to keep them on matters on the condition of your teeth positioning. If they are very crooked and messed up, you may need to have braces for 4 years, if not, maybe 1 or 2 years. Retainers are also available, where you can keep them on or off. Clear retainers are also available.

I am getting ceramic braces and I am paying $6000 and I have to keep mine on for 2 years. Each case is different and prices vary. Consult with 2-3 orthodontists. Most offer consultations for little to no fee and choose the best plan for you. Many orthodontists offer a payment plan with money down and no interest and there are some that offer financing through companies like Care Credit or Capital One. Let me know if I can be of further help.

Braces range anywhere from $2,000-$5,000 or maybe even up to $7K. It depends on the location and insurance. In urban neighborhoods it's usually more expensive.
Call different orthodontists for a price quote. Or maybe go in for a few consultations.
The average treatment time for braces is about 2 years. It depends on how bad your teeth are.

The length of time you will have to wear braces is determined by a number of things and can only your Otho can tell you. I have known people who were as short as 6 mos and long as 3 years. I have 18months.
My treatment is costing me a little over $4000. I would go to several orthodontics and do an initial consultation (usually free) and get quotes. If you are paying for this yourself (my dental plan does not cover adult orthodontics) you may want to sign up for dental discount programs such as Ameriplan (ameriplan.com).
Good Luck!

Mine were about $5000 and I had them on for about a year- my teeth weren't that bad, I just wanted them to be straighter so I didn't have tokeep them on very long. I got my braces removed a year and a half ago but I still wear my retainer at night.
