Vegetables are better for you. They have all the nutrients of fruits without the natural sugar and extra calories. That said, I'd go on an all veggie diet. I have before, to lose weight, and after the first few days it wasn't that bad.

You should eat both!!!
Remember that both have good and bad things if you eat too much or just one kind of either vegestables or fruits!!
Fruits although can be cleansing and have many vitamins they have also a lot of sugar and that could make you diabetic or affect your teeth!!
Vegestables have more nutrients, fibers and have almost the same properties of fruit but they are heavier and fruit can be a good snack and you can have them for breakfast.
I recomend that if you are not mentioning meats......become a vegetarian and have both....don't forget to eat nuts and grains and get some seaweed, flax oil, amino acids, apple vinegar cider, eat even if only once a month fish. You know if you go to farmers market and buy what is on season it would be even better because you will get what is on the area and I have heard that depending on where you live and what grows on the area will give you what you really need!!!
Good luck!!!

both are good for you. i think it just depends on your nutritional needs since they offer different kinds of nutrients. i'm sure you could survive a long time on that type of diet but eventually your body may break down from lack of other nutrients needed from meat, dairy, and bread products. you should probably consult a physician first and have a physical exam done to find out what's the best diet for you. if you dont do that, at least take a multi-vitamin daily to make sure you still get your daily requirement of essential nutrients. i assume that apes eat more fruit since they like to live in trees more than on land which is where most vegetables grow. i also think they would consider the leaves from the trees their vegetable. however, they are still animals with a different system in their bodies to help them digest and live a healthy life on a diet and lifestyle very different from humans.

I love fruit. I love the taste. To me vegetables are kind of bland. Spice them up with a pinch of salt or vinegar.
But for a dieter, you should have some of both.
I think Apes eat fruit and leaves mostly.

Both are very good for you, Apes eat leaves and insects as far as I know. I wouldn't go on an
all fruit or all veggie diet. I would be missing
out on protien. I would forgo meat, however; because
I have never been much of a meat eater.

i usually opt for a 3/2 split--3 veggies and 2 fruits per diem. i'm guessing that apes eat more fruit than veggies (being a jungle species and all).

Fruit is better. Just tastier.
I would assume they eat more veggies.
I couldn't make it on an all-fruit/veggies diet. Where's the beef?
