Jehovah's Witnesses do not receive any payment or "reimbursement" for their door-to-door preaching work, or for other avenues of field ministry.
There are typically three or four contribution boxes in the back of each Kingdom Hall (for local needs, worldwide work, and a global construction fund). No elder or congregation member has any idea what donation (if any) his brother or sister has made, except the one "ministerial servant" ("deacon") who manages the congregation's accounts and so sees any personal checks (the monthly audit by the elders has no personal details).
Jehovah's Witnesses never require any monies for anything spiritual, literally. There is no collection at meetings, there is no charge for bible studies, and even literature is offered on a complete donation basis!
Jehovah's Witnesses will never stop the study of any bible student who demonstrates sincerity and some degree of progress, however slow that may be. In some areas, students routinely qualify for baptism in 9 months to a year, while in others it may take several years.
However, in lands which have an extremely high demand for Witness teachers, the congregation may require that a bible student attend congregation meetings for a time in order to remain on a list of those awaiting a personal bible study. There are few areas like that in the United States.

no going to the doors are a command from Jesus Christ at Matthew 28 verse 19 and 20. we do not pass around a plate like the churches. yes we can give money and boxes are in the back of each kingdom hall. but you don't have to, that is up to each person. the bible studies are free. as far as how long the bible studies are, it is an hour each week. it can take a few months or it can take longer, that depends are each person. the doors to the Kingdom Halls are open to the public, so go into one in your neighbor and see what we are all about. or see our website at www.watchtower.org. we are a worldwide brother and sisterhood in 236 lands. one thing about Jehovah Witnesses is that you can go to any kingdom hall and they are doing the samethings,

It should also be noted that at no level in the organization do witnesses get paid, whether it involves the house to house work, being
An Elder;
A Congregation Overseer;
Circuit Servant;
District Servant; or
Sitting on the Governing Board.
Any head of household in good standing can end up holding on of these positions at some point in their lives and does not require a college education, as ever witness receives the equivalent of a Bible College education as a part of the regular meeting attendance. As a cab driver, I've carried many a person who attended private Bible schools, as well as a local Theological College, who came away knowing more about how to obtain donations than about the Bible they will be teaching.
As persons stated above, witnesses do this as instructed by Christ, not because there is anything to gain from it. They don't have an elite who are the only ones who attend the yearly conferences. Witnesses have have nearly 1000 conferences that are attended by all of them, throughout the world. Two circuit conferences usually attended by 10+ congregations, and one district conference, attended by 10+ circuits. The cab drivers hate it when they come here, as they don't go out to the bars and other entertainment like other attendees of other religious conferences do.

No, we do not get paid to go knocking on people's doors. There is no collection plate passed around in our kingdom halls. We do have donation boxes in the back of the kingdom hall. Everything we do is voluntary. As for bible study, yes, still free, no charge.. and it is however long you want the study to be..depending on your time.. 10mins, 15mins, 20mins... etc..

No, we do not get paid for knocking on doors and for doing Bible Studies. None of our members of the congregations gets paid. All is volunteer work. In fact, nowhere in the world do our ministers charge for performing weddings and/or funerals. Our work is supported by voluntary donations if one cares to give. No plate is passed around during our meetings. We don't charge for Bible studies either. We teach for FREE. Bibles studies could last as long or as short as you like....most of it depends on the students. Jehovah is rich in all aspects. There is no need for His people to demand money from anyone nor' does He require a certain percent from members of His congregation's paycheck to be given on a montly basis.

No we do not get paid for knocking on doors. It is voluntary and we consider it "building our treasures in heaven". We do not ask for money. We are The Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. The Christ Jesus is the head of our Congregation. All Bible studies are free. Bible studies can last as long as you want them to. May Jehovah God bless you in your search for the truth.

We do not get paid for preaching; we are volunteers. There is no collection plate passed around at our Kingdom Halls, but if someone cares to donate there are boxes at the back; it is completely voluntary. As for studying the Bible, there is no set time for how long you can study, every individual is different.

No money involved. We don't get paid for door to door, no charge for bible studies. If you wish to donate you can, it's optional, not a requirement. Your bible study can last as long or short as you want it - it's not like you're signing a cell phone contract.

I can tell you about those people first hand:
They do not get paid.
In their halls, the accent is not on money at all.
Once a month they read a financial statement and MAY invite all not to forget the 'voluntary' contribution box ....that's it.
If you accept them in your house for one of their bible courses ....it's free.
They'll never embarras you about money.
You can study with them for as long as it takes.
As long as they see your sincerity in learning.
