My weaker, yet pretty half has a secretary at her office named Hajra, a beautiful young woman. As of today, her sister Jasminka is also working for her. Jasminka is married and is 7 months pregnant with their first child.

We had a really bad snowstorm yesterday and the stupid city packed a bunch of snow in our ally way. I suggested that my wife have Jasminka do the shoveling, and she agreed.

Hajra then stated, "I'm not sure that her husband would agree to her doing something like that."

We just went ahead and had Jasminka shovel anyway, but is this something in the muslim religion, that men control their women's work habits?

Do you feel like a better human being by demeaning someone else's beliefs?

I'm not sure how you'd feel if your wife was 7 months pregnant with your first child and was asked to shovel someone's snow.
I don't understand what her job description is, I never heard of secretaries who shovel snow. I think that Hajra knows that her sister shouldn't be doing this assignment yet she agreed most probably for financial reasons. So in the muslim religion just as any other, men care about their women's health and dignity.

You know what, I really don't think this question is about "Muslim" women. I think this is more of a statement towards your misogynistic views on all women in the work place.

Your statement starts out with my "weaker" yet pretty half, is condescending and dripping with chauvinism. You sent a woman seven months pregnant out to shovel snow to make a misguided point about women in the work place.

Why couldn't you just shame the devil and be truthful, you don't like women in the work place and most importantly you have no respect for our gender in general.

I feel sorry for your wife.

No I think theres something seriously wrong with a 7 month pregnant woman shovelling snow and she probably meant her husband would not have wanted to see that.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

Nothing in the muslim religion is about any one controlling any one. If some men do this, it is because of the social, cultural heritage, not religion.
My question is why wouldn't her husband let her do this? Maybe it's out of protection rather than dominating? Did you know what his reasons were? We do not want to be jumping to wrong conclusions when we don't have enough information, do we?

Peace

well, lets see. she being 7 months pregnant with their first kid and him being the father of the kid.
even her mother and sister are allowed to say that they do not agree with something like that!
a pregnant women is not supposed to do something like that!

lets see your wife shovel snow when she's 7 months pregnant!

EDIT:
and it is not nice to refer to your wife as "weaker"!!! it is actually considered a sin in Islam by true Muslims!
