If he wanted to marry you, I am sure you would get a ring. It is definetly not wierd to ask a guy to marry you.
If I was asked to get married and I said yes, I would definetly buy her an engagement ring. A ring for her would be more important than a ring for me.

No! Is the same thing if a guy asks a gurl to marry him. Its not wrong nor wierd. Many Women today ask the guys instead of vice versa. So no. Its not wrong.

my wife asked me to marry her...we were divorced 5 years later.
My second wife, I asked her to marry me, we're still together 9 years.
Who knows, marriage is a 2 way street and you both have to work at it no matter who does the asking. It's how you commit to each other that counts.
