how do i download a.i.m. for mac?

when i install it is says its like a binary file and it opens up in excel!

Download a free copy of Stuffit Expander. That will take care of your binary file decompression needs - and many other compression formats. Your computer does not have a decompression utility that will uncompress the file, so it has guessed at using Excel.

The MAC comes with iChat which you use for AIM. You just enter your AOL IM account info into it and your good to go.
