Yes, definetly ! I love the French culture, and I can't wait for the elections ! I wonder who will win. I think Sarko and Segolene Royale have both a very good chance of winning, but as for Jean-Marie Le Pen, I don't think he will win, lol. Hasn't Le Pen always been running for president like in every election ?

This election is particualrly interesting because the Socialist candidate is a woman. She looks very attractive, and in France this is not minus: I don't know if it is a plus. It is interesting too that the French electorate is not at all worried about the fact that she is not married to her partner of many years. Sarkosy seems to have overcome his blunt comments on some subjects, including the recent riots in immigrant communities. How will the National Front fare? A few years ago it seemed a very strong force but now its tide seems to have receded. Will France turn to the left with the election of Madame Royal, remain at the centre, or move to the right? And what impact will the immigrant communities have on the election?
I am not French but greatly admire its literature and thought.

Although I am not involved in any politics, I must say that it is a fascinating situation in France right now. After the Socialist Mitterand, and the Conservative Chirac, another battle rages between a Socialist and a Conservative. It will be interesting to see if the French are willing to make the sacrifices it will take to get their economy moving in the right direction.
Another interesting aspect is the power of the media. In the case of Sarkozy and Royal, both are photogenic, but will the French people go for style over substance? It will be a test of the French people of the 21st century, and should make for fascinating cultural study.

Have cared a great deal about France and the French in the past
But, over the last ten ro twelve years-- the attitudes out of France and the incidences of total disrespect for the U S A ---leaves me cold on the subject-- so I no longer give a hoot in hell about the French OR their Socialist government !!!

Hello, I am an American. Yes, I am interested for a few reasons. Your left is somewhat different from our left, and your right is different from our right, making them very interesting to compare to our own parties. I am also interested because of the personalities involved and the complex issues that your country is facing domestically.
So, are you voting for Sarkozy, Royal, Le Pen or someone else?

in simple terms so which you recognize approximately: Sarkozy: head of political marketing campaign is the very nationalist former "super grasp" of the unfastened masons. His N°2 sits interior the trilateral comission and is a distinctive chum from W. Royal: Her brother is the french secret agent who blew the Greenpeace Boat "Rainbow Warrior" after Chirac´s Nuclear try. Bayrou (third guy) is the only one to be a actual christian, pay interest to the ambience, consolidate the ecu, signify all of them and not in simple terms Paris and is the only one to permit rights to lingustic and cultural minorities

In the US, we don't follow the elections of other countries unless the media start bringing it to our attention.
Personally, I think that Europe is going down the tube, and we are not far behind. I would like to see France, or any other European nations, withdraw from the EU, return to a gold-backed currency, end government hostility toward religion, particularly Christianity, withdraw from the UN, and become the strong, sovereign nation that it was a century ago.
I don't expect to see that happen, but we are all in the same boat. Our politicians are selling us out to the globalists, also.

A little bit. I've seen some of Mdm. Royale's policies, and if she ever gets into power (god forbid), I can't wait to see France try to cope with them.
I'm British, so our close Geographic proximity makes me interested.
