I'm a bit worried since it has lasted so long despite the lack of an actual God to worship. Just wondering if you think it will go on for long or not.

Yes. I used to think education is the answer. But humans have this little bit in them that seems to need mysticism.

By the way- religion may fade away- but the one and only God who sent His son to die for us, and rose again so that we can have victory over sin, and an eternal relationship with Him will never die. You should be worried about that if you have not accepted Christ, because one day you will always see that it was truth. If you think God does not exist- why are you worried?

The Kingdom of God

In the height of heaven (Job 22:12), in the third heaven (2 Cor.12:2), God inhabits eternity (Isa.57:15) and dwells in Zion (Joel 3:21, Ps.23:6), the heavenly Jerusalem (Heb.12:22).

Saints of the most High will possess God’s kingdom for ever, even for ever and ever (Dan.7:18, Dan.7:22).

Religeon will never die. You are a perfect example of why, you are worshiping a false theory and a dead man.

We have examples of evolution whenever there is a child born without arms, legs, sight, an extra arm (that proved to be useless), and siamese twins. But "science works very hard to undo what nature has done.

Be thankful that there IS a God, otherwise, evolution would have killed us a long time ago.

People feel the need to believe in something.

As long as those people exist, I don't think religion will die off.

After all, nobody takes the Greek gods seriously anymore. But it was pretty serious for the ancient Greeks. It was serious enough that the Roman Empire stole their pantheon and renamed all of their gods. Yet, people realized that the Greek mythology is simply a collection of stories.

And they follow another religion.

Many religions die off. Many religions are born. Many religions prosper.

Will Christianity die off? Eventually. Like many of the ancient religions, Christianity will phase out. But it'll be replaced by another religion. That's how strongly people need to believe in something.

The religions used to change as one religion would gain a technological advantadge and whipe out the other religions in the geographic region, now with the printing press and mass media and the nuclear bomb, the current religions will stay indefinately,

in time with generations of science . . .the percentage of atheists and agnostics will grow, but America will continue to be a nation of predominately Christians.

Since it has lasted so long (since the beginning of humanity), won't it last until the end of humanity.

Sorry, but us religious people will continue to preach decency and morals to the rest of the world. What a tragedy, living in a good place is.

Worshipping God will go on forever. Not sorry for breaking it to you. lol

Since he does not exist in your mind, why do you even give it the time of day? Go, have a life, enjoy it while it lasts.
