Yes I sure could! I could even do it without using the Bible.
There are extra-biblical texts (texts outside the Bible) that also confirm what is written in scripture.
Josephus was a very important Jewish historian of the first century. He was a priest, a pharisee, and somewhat egotistical. Most importantly he was NOT A CHRISTIAN. Look into his books "The Antiquities" and the "Testimonium Flavianum".
In Josephus' book "The Antiquities" you will find that he describes how a high priest named Ananias took advantage of the death of the Roman governor Festus-who is also mentioned in the NT- in order to have James killed. This work was completed in A.D. 93 which is approximately 63 years from the time of Jesus' ascension, which is considered very early and thus reliable.
He says, "He convened a meeting of the Sanhedrin and brought before them a man named James, the brother of Jesus, who was called the Christ, and certain others. He accused them of having transgressed the law and delivered them up to be stoned."
The Testimonim Flavianum says this," About this time there lived Jesus, a wise man, if indeed one ought to call him a man. For he was one who wrought surprising feats and was a teacher of such people as accept the truth gladly. He won over many Jews and many of the Greeks. He was the Christ. When Pilate, upon hearing him accused by men of the highest standing among us, had condemned him to be crucified, those who had in the first place come to love him did not give up their affection for him. On the third day he appeared to them restored to life, for the prophets of God had prophesied these and countless other marvelous things about him. And the tribe of Christians, so called after him, has still to this day not disappeared."
In these references Josephus does corroborate important information about Jesus: that he was the martyred leader of the church in Jerusalem and that he was a wise teacher who had established a wise and lasting following, despite the fact that he had been crucified under Pilate at the instigation of some of the Jewish leaders.
These references from Josephus are highly significant especially since his accounts of the Jewish War have proved to be very accurate.
Also look at authors like these:
Tacitus the Roman historian
Pliny the Younger- a Roman politician
Plegon- a freed slave who wrote histories
Thallus- a first century historian (quoted by Julius Africanus)
Seutonius- a roman historian
Lucian- a Greek satirist
Celsus- a Roman philosopher
Mara- a private citizen who wrote to his son
the Talmud

Could professors prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, in a court of law, that Alexander the Great exists? How about that Pluto is a planet? What good would it do if a jury stood up and said He exists? Would you believe then?

That is the case of testimony we bring tot he world everyday and some accept, most dont. This is one trial however where it matters more what the judge thinks, than the jurors. And the jurors are eternally responsible for making a right judgment!
If you read the book "Case for Christ" it involves an atheist that set out to disprove Jesus based on historical, scientific, and medical data. Halfway through examining the evidence he became a Christian and appropraitely renamed it.
He found the evidences were compelling and the testimony given by the Apostles would stand up in a court of law. The fact is you have 13 apostles who were eyewitnesses to the ministry of Jesus who saw all the miracles as well as him resurrected. They completely devoted their lives to spreading the Gospel even through estrangment from the Jews, presecution, torture, and even death itself. They could have stopped the suffering in their lives by just renouncing Jesus and admit it was a fraud, but they never did.
I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. -John 5:24

What are you talking about? Jesus EXISTED in the past - without A shadow of a doubt and there can be no argUMent about the subject. The question is whether Jesus was the son of God or not and there would be no point in taking that question to court as there is no tangible evidence on which to build a case either to prove or disprove it.

Of course they could. Just provide enough evidence and let the jury decide the case. No different than in any trial.
A much more interesting question would be them trying to prove the ressurrection.

"Gaius Suetonius Tranquillus" a pagan roman historian, writes in his book "THE TWELVE CESARS", that during Tiberio´s reign a delincuent with great folowing by the name of "Christ" had been crucified. But does not give the matter much inportance.
Also, roman emperor Constantine and his mother Saint Elena recognized the existence of Jesus, by inside and historical references they had.
The international Jewish comunity since historical memorial times recognizes that Jesus did exist, but chose not to believe that Jesus was God.
How do we know that "Alexander the Great" existed.
More or less by the same historical references by which we know Jesus existed.

Actually, a man with a Master's in Law from Yale set out to do just that. (the physical existence of Jesus isn't in question. He is mentioned by non-religious historians of that time period (see Josephus) The question is - was Jesus God, did He really rise from the dead...? Lee Strobel was an athiest who posed the question you do and he went on a hard core search to find out if it could be done. The book is called The Case for Christ. check it out and see if his conclusions make sense.

Historical records ,i.e. ,the Bible,is a historic record of events transcribed as documented proof that a man named Jesus existed yes.
To prove the miracles ,walking on water, rising the dead (Lazarus) etc.that is another story and would be harder to prove that it really happened.
Historically it has been proven ,that such a man existed ,because of the many authors(books of ),in the Bible.
