She is 9 and irritates me every second. I try to ignore her but it is quite difficult when you are staying in the same house.

Okay, so because your little sister is 9, I'm assuming that you're a preteen or teenager. So I'm going to give you the same advice that my grandma gave to my two aunts whenever they fought: Life is hard on a teenage girl. You should always appreciate your sisters because eventually they're going to be the only friend you have.

Sometimes little sisters want to be like you so much they are constantly up your butt. Why not try to set some limits with her, like you and she can do something together from 5:00 - 6:00 (watch a movie, do computer game or board game, or just talk about her life, school, friends). She may be trying to get your attention (sometimes bad attention is better than no attention). Try to look at your sister as a little you and understand how much she loves you and looks up to you (be a good role model!). Good luck and God Bless.

deal with it. show her that she can't act like a rottne brat. I have four younger sisters who I use to live with for a while unitl we were seperated. I was heated when thet come over and borrow clothes cause they wanted to play but as I set down the rules and start playing with them verses fighting with all four then they started to obey my rules and we get along pretty okay ( expect for one who ran way) but it is part of having sisblings. At least you have one at nine.
I have a brother ,19 going 20, a sister , 17 going on 18, a sister 16 going on 17 , another , 15 going on 16 and the baby, 13 going on 14. those are the ages when you really are be glad you set something when they were younger they will out of control at those ages.

I grew up with a little sister who was four years younger than me. She'll be annoying until you're both old enough to appreciate each other (usually during college ages when one moves out).

Trust me, it's just part of sibling life. Appreciate the good times, and go out with your friends during the bad.

Well i may sound as a grumpy old fellow to you ....but mark my words ........... Sisters are one of the best things that you can get from God .......... As far as tolerating her is concern try following
1. Listen to her........... May be she wants some attention form you
2. try to give her some time............ She deserves it
3. Take her out on a dinner or Ice cream............. She will melt when treated with such loving and warm gestures
4.Try it and get back to me

U can try to irritate her back by hiding her things, esp her favourite doll or sth.

Try to be funny or get her to laugh. Laugh together, do something fun together that's not annoying. Help her get interested in something she can do by herself when you need alone time to get some of your things done.
