The U.S. Virgin Islands comes to mind as a great honeymoon destination...and it fits your bill of not driving over 12 hours! Haha! Drive to your aiport (however long that may be), then just a couple hours on a plane and you're in paradise!! And a U.S. Territory, at that!

I would say the Blue ridge Mountains or the Smokey Mountains of north Carolina and Tennessee. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg Tennessee are always beautiful ANY time of the year. Boone North Carolina would be my destination though.

Kenya ofcourse is the best place in the world to go for honeymoon.Especialy after the official declaration of The Masai Mara as the 7th wonder of the world for its magical wildlife spectacle. and beautiful beaches. I guess if you're going to put parameters around your destination, you can head up to Branson. Otherwise, I'd say go to Las Vegas. It's lovely in July!

For these places you have to fly...try the Bahamas or Aruba...both very beautiful!!!!!
