I'm nearly 16 and my parents divorced about 8 or 9 years ago. I stay with my mum, and then i go to my dad's at the weekends. My mum is now happily re-married and my dad has had a string of girlfriends, and now has a steady one who he's been with about 18 months, and he seems sooo happy.

But the other day i was staying at my dad's and i went on his computer. I went on History, not on purpose, i clicked the wrong button. Anyway, it popped up but something caught my eye. "Globalladies- young Russian brides etc." I was shocked. I quickly shut down the computer, and then when i got to my mum's the next night i typed global ladies into google and went on it, you can see for yourself, and i was really disgusted.

I know nobody else uses that computer, and i've been trying to think of innocent reasons why he was on it, but i can't. He's coming over tonight and i really can't act the same.

My dad has also done other things to me before which made me uncomfortable.

Please advise me x

By the way, it wasn't porn, it was just like one of those sites where you can get like Russian Brides, you know like those Thai wives.

Thanks for answers so far.

Erm, nothing terrible, it's just so subtle, i don't know if it is anything, if i'm just overreacting.

It's just he does horrible stuff like nuzzle my neck and stuff, but in a really horrible way, it makes me really uncomfortable. It's something my boyfriend would do, not my dad.

I'm more concerned with the "other stuff" he has done to make you feel uncomfortable. :(

Like what?

Don't know why he'd look on the web site, but the neck nuzzling stuff may be that its the only was he learned to express love, some guys get 'confused' and can't just hug. If you're worried about staying there make your excuses and don't, you can tell him anything if your worried about hurting his feelings, maybe that you want to have a girlfriend over and its easier at your mums, or you want to make your mum more of a friend (its a girl thing) and spend some more free time with her, and maybe not stay at his except when his girlfriend is there - 'you want to be more of a friend to her' If you are in any way uncomfortable don't go, things evolve, your parents will understand. And talk to your mum or a friends mum, don't ignore it
And he may have been looking for a friend

Aw honey - it must be horrible to see that your dad sometimes looks a naked ladies - but men do that sometimes.

Yes, he should be more careful with his computer if his kids re going to see it but it wasn't just left lying around for you to see.

Your mum and dad have an interest in sex and they have sex (though not together anymore obviously). Many men, including your dad look a erotic images even if they are in a steady relationship - he might even look at that stuff together with his girlfriend or maybe its just a habit he got into when he was single.

You could try being a grown up about this now and tell him that you found some images by accident on his computer and you didn't like them and that maybe he should be a bit more careful to wipe the history or maybe he could buy you a laptop so that you can more easily work either at your mums or your dads whereever you are and they can keep their privacy.

Actually reading that back it sounds a bit like blackmail but that's not how I meant it.

Tricky situation.
If you're feeling brave you could type the address into his computer and leave it at the top of the address list so he knows you've been looking at it. He will either feel embarassed or say something (but at least the pressure will be on him).
If you don't want to confront him then I guess you just have to bide your time and see if anything comes of it. At the end of the day he may just be settling some curiousities that he has. .... It may turn out to be nothing.

wow...i don't mean to be nosy, but what kind of thing did he do that made you uncomfortable? because if they were worrying enough, this could be a bigger issue. i think one of the previous answerers idea about you putting it in the recent sites thing was good, but if not, maybe you should tell your mum or someone you feel comfortable talking to, just in case he does something stupid...i can't imagine, it must be horrible finding this out about your dad, and it may well be nothing, but it's probably best if you do tell someone. good luck.

he's probably been told about this site by one of his workmates, or heard about it. Gosh, don't take people's internet history is representative of their true interests, or we'd all be jailed or taken away to the loony bin!
Currently on my own history I have sites on The Simpsons, UFOs, President Nixon, and a trouser press. WHY? I am not I nterested in any of them and can't remember why I chose to look them up but anyone who wanted to check this would have me down as an impeccably groomed cartoon-watching alien with a fixation on dead presidents!
Ignore it all. By the way, people's internet history is ALWAYS private and should NEVER be looked at!

Try to forget what you have seen about global ladies in you dad's computer.Go back before this incident and as per you your dad and mom are happy with their own partners.

When you meet you dad again don't raise this issue at all and try to act innocent and be normal as before. And that is good for you all.

Allow you dad to have his own space and do not try to encroach in to his privacy.

Pl. concentrate on your own career and that is good for you and for your dad and mom too.

OK, my major concern is the stuff that makes you uncomfortable that your dad does, for one your dad should never make you feel like that, he shouldn't be getting that close to you, if you feel like that i think you should go to your mom and talk to her about it. tell her how you are uncomfortable when your dad does this are that. Good luck please talk to someone you trust (mom) are a counselor.

lets forget this is your dad for a moment.
There are very few men that dont look at porn on the internet, its available and its free.
I wouldnt worry, I know its your dad, but he is just a man like any other regular guy.
