Cats love eating grass! Period!
Did you know that your cat craves cat grass?
Is there anything cuter than a cat eating grass? Whether nudging it gently with their noses or whacking it brutally with their little paws, cats always show their appreciation for natural tender grass. As well they should -- grass, in addition to endless entertainment, provides cats with valuable health benefits.
Even if they're eating the best cat food in the world, cats may need a little help with digestion. Tender green grasses help provide this assistance. Cats are actually biologically programmed to eat grass for this very reason.
A Cat Eating Grass is a Healthy Cat
However, this craving for munching on greens can get a kitty in trouble. In the absence of safe grasses, cats will often eat anything green they can find, which may include decorative or even poisonous plants. Having a safe alternative planted on the windowsill can save you and your cat a lot of grief. Our convenient, easy-to-grow, tender grass growing kits will safely help satisfy your kitty's cravings and make you very popular indeed.
Eating cat grass can also help your cat in another important way -- to cough up fur balls. Yep, that's another reason your cat need grass it helps a cat cough up fur balls that develop in their stomach as a result of all that grooming.

She probably needs some fiber (this is not a joke). When cats live in the wild, eating mice, they get a lot of vegetable matter from the tummies of their dinner(s). If she's not urping it back up, don't worry about it. You can grow her a little pot of indoor grass to chew (like rye grass), just be careful that you don't have poisonous houseplants around (like poinsettias, etc, check with your vet if you have questions or do a web-search). Or, give her catnip regularly (like once a week/biweekly). Get the good stuff - organic, nice green leafy stuff, put it on a heavy-weight plate, and she'll eat some and then roll around in/on it - that's why you want a heavy-weight plate so it doesn't flip over on her when she plops down on it. Catnip is very good fiber, they'll eat sometimes about a teaspoon-worth. And then enjoy the show!

Dogs and cats eat grass because they are sick is a partial truism. Dogs and cats will often eat grass if they have indigestion. The grass causes them to vomit and then they feel better. But there are animals that eat grass out of habit and many pets are smart enough to eat grass to get the taste of something bad out of their mouths, using the grass as a mouthwash of sorts!

your cat is eating grass because her stomache isnt feeling good and shes eating the grass to help her upset stomache. Her eating grass isn't a bad thing, pet stores actually sell grass to pet owners for their pets. Your cat eating grass uotside isn't a good thing though. grass outside is dirty and the more she eats it the more likely she will catch something. my cat just recently died, and he was our outdoor cat. You never know what is in or on the grass she's eating, so your best bet would be to buy her some grass that you know will be good and clean. hope this helps, best of luck

just trying to get rid of a fur ball. If you think she is eating too much grass then take her to the vet. My cat had a problem with a stuck fur ball. We had to take her to the vet and they helped her bring it up. But she seems to be happy though so don't worry about it. Just keep an eye on it :-)

Perhaps the undigested blades of grass tickle the back of the throat and aid regurgitation? Cats don't have the enzymes to break down grass for its nominal fibre content and they strictly don't require any vegetable matter as a source of nutrients.

Your cat is eating grass because it helps their digestive tracts. It also helps them to bring up their hairballs. It is nothing to worry about and if you stop her from eating the grass it could make her ill.
Cats do eat grass when they are ill as well because it sometimes makes them sick.

I would suggest taking it to the vet and let a doctor check it out, if your cat is okay tell the vet about how it keeps eating grass.
