I think the best thing would be a very nice dinner at home with some wine and an anniversery cake. Something simple. Why not play your wedding song and dance to it.

For the 1st. anniversary the gift is suppose to be paper. I made my husband a message in a bottle. You can also buy them online at several different place. I decorated the bottle, wrote a poem on nice paper and burnt the edges, and then I dropped it off at a spa. I scheduled us side-by-side hot stone massages but he didnt' know it. When I took him there I told him the appointment was just for him. They took him back and I snuck in through a side door in the room and got to watch him open and read the message and then I came out. Very romantic and special! Good luck!!!
