i had a candle lit and my cat walked by it and some of his fur caught on fire. hes fine but i feel bad because i couldn't stop laughing. it was just so funny seeing him freak out.

Yes. That is wrong. Seeing someone or something hurt (burns HURT!) and thinking it is funny shows an extreme lack of empathy on your part. I would seek counseling.

If he is ok then yeah I can understand you laughing. When I was a kid we had a cat that got into the wood burner in the garage and my dad didnt know he was in there so he lit paper and put it in there and the cats tail caught on fire. HE WAS OK!!! And to see that cat moving on was SO FUNNY!! he didnt have a name until that day and my dad named him fire ball and he lived to be around 10 yrs old and every time i would call that cat I would think about that day and had to laugh So yes i can understand it being funny LOL

It's SO funny. Today's society when someone gets hurt it's funny, that's all there is to it. I'm glad that your cat is fine though. Consider putting your candles at a higher place to avoid the fur-fires in the future.

As long as your cat isn't hurt, it's ok to laugh. My old cat did this, jumped up on my buffet and got to close to the candle. I seen him as he jumped down and he had a blue haze over him like a propane flame. It went out right away and he had all these black singed hairs. And STINK!!! Of course, cat rule #63 is always look like you meant to do it, and he tried to keep his dignity. I thought it was funny afterwards, though I paniced when I seen it.

Well nobody can tell what is right or wrong to think because different people have different sense of humours, I think I would have panicked and not laughed. I would probably laugh after I knew my cat was OK and not hurt.

Laughing is good for the soul. You said yourself that your cat didn't get hurt, so what is the harm in enjoying the moment. Although that is not to say I agree with intentionally hurting animals.

yes its funny if you intentionally didn't mean to do it try water next time its even funnier cause it doesn't hurt
