whats with all the thumbs down!
education and entertainment come in all shapes and sizes.
children are allowed time on the computers in school its a teaching aid just as much as a book. as long as its not their only source of stimulation and not for hours at a time i don't see the problem.
i will be looking at some of these sites with my daughter tomorrow.

You said toddler, so I am going to assume under 3 years. Your child really needs to be developing skills for life at this point. For example - Language, Cognitive thinking, social skills, and physical activities. I wouldn't have them on the computer for a couple years. It will just lead to trouble in the long run, like they can't interact with others when they are in their 20's so they still live at home with mom & dad. But, it's your choice!

If would be developmentally inappropriate for a toddler to be on the computer. You could further your child's development by spending quality time reading and playing with the child, not dumping him/her on the computer. Its becuase of parents like you that we have such a high rate of ADHD in this country.

Internet sites? How about a walk, and teach him or her how to catch or kick a ball. Read to your child... ask them questions, and expect answers. Teach him or her to say please and thank you. Crap almighty, Internet for toddlers.....

Me and my daughter used to spend a lot of time on noggin.com
She just turned 4 and still asks to play on it. It teaches numbers/letters and problem solving, using the same characters you see on the tv shows.
