Anything under 1.44 MB in size for a standard floppy disk (it's usually closer to 1.36 MB, even though it claims 1.44), but honestly, the floppy disk is dead. Go buy a flashdrive, you can get one that holds 1 GB (The equivalent of 711 floppy disks) for around $15-$20 at an office supply or electronics store.

Not to mention floppy disks are extremely volatile. You never want to store any sensitive data on there that you don't have a backup of, because floppy disks just tend to fail, often for no apparent reason.

Yes you can store this types of files on a floppy disc, however because of its 1.44mb capacity it will be very limited on what you can save. Also floppy disc are not a reliable source for storing files floppys easy become corrupted..Try to get a flash drive is more secure and fasted with plenty of space to choose from, at reliable prices...

mostly word files are stored on a floppy disc b'coz they do not have much space for photos as compared to a compact disc which can store a larger amount of data which may be word files or pictures or videos etc.................

I usually store photos and word documents.

However floppy discs aren't very common anymore unless your computer is old.....

I have a memory stick now...my notebook has cd/dvd burner/drive and then ports for memory cards.
