my cat sleeps under the covers with me. sometimes when im sleeping, she sneaks under my blanket, too. she likes to sleep on my calf. i was wondering if this is common.

one of my cats does, one doesn't as often as the first.
don't worry until your cat starts charging you in the morning to try and wake you up! ;)

Not common, but not particularly uncommon either. Most of my cats slept on top of the covers and had a "spot" that was theirs - one had the pillow - she was the "queen", one took the left hip, one would always curl up behind my knees shen I slept on my side. My sister's cat would AlWAYS sleep on top of her top-sheet but under the comforter - there was always this circular little mound in the middle of her bed, he'd sleep like that when she was there too. After recently acquiring a dog who thinks she is a "fur-person" - she sleeps stretched out like a person - and taking my mum's 2 cats for "winter camp" while she visits family, my girl decided that while she might have to share the bed with all these bums she was not going to lose the "power position" - she actually will occasionally crawl under the covers and rest by my side hip to ribs- I have a down comforter and I worry that she'll suffocate or overheat, but she seems to be okay. If the other cats are not on the bed, she sleeps on top by my knees. And, of course, NOONE gets the bed during the day except her. The dog has claimed under the bed during to day (she's very good about not getting up on stuff unless she's invited).

I love cats and I know a lot about them. I didn't think cats would do this, but they do sometimes. I think all cats are just different. My cat is the same way. She loves getting under the covers with me. I guess it's just warmer and she feels better being that close to me. She is different than any cat I have ever seen. I have had her since she was born and she has never been outside. She does a lot of things that most cats I have seen wouldn't do. She also likes to go the the bathroom with me when I take a shower.

My cat sleeps on the pillow, right above my head. He gets under the covers and digs "tunnels" through the blankets during the day, but he doesn't usually do that at night. Whenever he does, he drapes himself over my calves.

Yes it is normal... the two cats that I have love to sleep under the covers. it is dark and warm just what a cat wants for sleeping... :)

I'm a pretty restless sleeper and Sylvie sleeps in my bedroom - pretty much at the end of the bed. She likes to crawl under the covers with me for a short while on a cool morning.

My cat sleeps on top of the covers at the end of the bed. She used to sleep between my b/f and I when we first got her. Now she is more independant and has moved to the end of the bed.

Yes it is common to me!I have 4 cats and they all sleep with me.Its hard sometimes but I know they love me.My orange cat Pecker sleeps in my calves too.My black one Tootie sleeps on the same pillow with me.My white and black one Lightening sleeps by my feet.My tabby and white one sleeps in the blankets curled up in my arms.I love it.It shows you are a good person and the cat must really trust you to do this.

One of my cat loves to come up in the middle of the night and scratch at the covers until I lift them for her to get in. She gets in just fine when I'm not in the bed but when in the bed she has to be let in.
And always sleeps right on my legs.

My calico, Mama Kitty, sleeps under the covers with me all the time. And then her baby, Duchess, sleeps under them occasionally. Bu tDuchess will lick you if you stop petting her so i dont exactly like her under them. But Mama Kitty is fine.

Good question! One of my cats, Hexum, LOVES TO BE UNDER THE COVERS!
He tries to tunnel and bury himself, almost as if he is burrowing!
Quite funny sometimes when he gets lost and start crying out the "lost kitten" cry, even though he is 3 years old....
