Technically, "Palestinian" means anyone who was living in the area of the Palestinian mandate (1911 - 1948). Before that the area was just part of the Ottoman Empire. "Palestinian" is derived from the very ancient "Philistine", and was mostly used because they needed to call it something when they carved up the remains of the Ottoman Empire.
But today, "Palestinian" has come to be used primarily for Palestinian Arabs who are predominantly Muslim. It's not technically correct, but few people even know that much less care.
Wikipedia has a half dozen or so articles on different aspects of this puzzle. Most are quite good.

Bernard Sabella of Bethlehem University estimates it as 6% Christian.[12] However, within the West Bank and Gaza Strip, according to the Palestinian Academic Society for the Study of International Affairs, the Palestinian population is 97% Muslim and 3% Christian; there are also about 300 Samaritans and a few thousand Jews[citation needed] from the Neturei Karta group who consider themselves Palestinian. Within Israel, 68% of the non-Jewish population is Muslim, 9% Christian, 7% Druze, and 15% "other".

I was born 1962, the majority were Christians...we could go to church and practice like anyone else.
The more time passes the less Christians you find, the young leaves to better social and economical environment and the old dye.
Now the numbers are very acurate to say Muslims 95%, Christians 3%, others 2%.

Mostly Muslim. Some Christian. Maybe a little Jew too..but then again...they would be Arab Jews and not really label themselves as palestinians.
