I have been dating this guy for 6 months now. Im 22 and he is 25. He calls me constantly throughout the day and text messages me while im at work. he is usually at work too. Even if he has nothing to talk about, its like he gets bored and wants to make me bored. But he will ask me things like-am i good enough, have your feelings about me changed, am i the right man for you...I get so irritated having to reassure him all the time. What can i tell hime to make him stop with this insecure crap. We were both married, me for 5 years and i have 2 kids and my husband cheated, him for 5 months no kids and his wife cheated. I actually get sick of talking to him all day because when were together at night it seems like we have nothing to talk about cuz weve talked all day!

yea its a little irritating but you have to understand that when a guy or girl for that matter gets cheated on if they're not that strongly willed they begin to second guess themselves and they look for reassurance from the most influential and important person in their life at that moment. You just have to let him know and make sure he knows that because you have been through the same thing and you know how it feels you wont ever do that to him. He just wants to know that you wont leave him for someone else thats all he doesnt believe he can handle it a second time around.

Wow, this is like a complete role reversal. Now you know how men feel most of the time. It's usually the female that does those things and asks for reassurance constantly. I think the best thing to do is to talk about it with him. Tell him that while you enjoy talking to him throughout the day, it also gets distracting to you at work. Maybe talk about just talking once during the day and that way you'll have a lot of stuff to talk about at night when you get together. Tell him that he has to trust you when you tell him that you love him. He sounds very insecure and needy. Maybe he will get past it soon.

It sounds to me like 6 months with him is enough time to waste, if you already have run out of stuff to talk about. It is not your responsibility to reassure him and fix his problems.

Now you know why the first wife cheated on him, she had to escape for a little bit. It's easy to see why your ex cheated on you you had 2 kids at 22 your life was over and he needed an escape. Your an idiot for having kids at 22 it's 2007 not 1970, but now that you have them you better give them a good life and a shot. But they will be in jail or on my computer naked in 20 yrs or so. Way to drag down the human race moron.

Yes, this would definitely irritate me as well.
I need my space, and I need for you to have other things to do with your time.
It's like you want the challenge, and he is drowning you in attention.
I don't what you can do to resolve this, but I would try telling him in the nicest way possible that it is very irritating.

He is very insecure. You might need to date someone else. He will make you miserable. You cannot make him feel better about himself. He needs to do that himself.
