Those who are not found in the book of life will have their part in the lake of fire (Rev 20:15) Being fearful is a show of a lack of faith, but it is our sin that separates us from God and life. Jesus paid for our sin, but we need to accept his gift, and this alone will get out names into the book of life.
Evil can harm us if we are not taking dominion over it as we were commanded to in Gen 1:26-28.
John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
