i have always exercised for yrs. i am also eating very balanced, like always, except i am limiting my portions.

i feel like im in a bad mood. my mood during this weight loss is worse than when i quit smoking 5 years ago. i snapped at some acquaintances recently that normally i am very nice to. i felt very tearful too. they were very surprised. i never even did that when i quit smoking. i feel really bad about it.

no i dont need an antidepressant. it is just the dieting. i was wondering what i can do to feel better while dieting. do you think i could be diabetic?

You're not eating enough and/or you're eating too many proteins and/or you're eating not enough carbs.

I tend to do the same :)

Try keeping the same amount of calories, cut the fats off and eat more complex carbs. If it still doesn't work, cut back on proteins and add more carbs.

You are not a diabetic.

Stop dieting. An entire and fundamental life change is needed.

Sell all you own. Take the money and fly to Las Vegas. Play the MegaMachine, until you win. If you do not hit it, play until you have no more money.

Following this, get a job that involves running and lifting. Work with your whole heart. See how much you can save, and how fast.

Dieting never works, because all you do as you diet is to obsess about food. Get into the walking and reading habit.

Obsess about activity, learning, productivity and saving up.

Ignore all advertisements. Stay away from Yahoo Answers, for you haveNOW OBTAINED ALL THE TRUTH YOU NEED.

You live on a planet intent on making you fat. Ignore its messages. EAT LESS, MOVE MORE.

Do everything I have instructed, and you will thank me later.

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.

Good LUCK!

I would suggest that you don't dwell on thoughts of dieting constantly. Don't think you are deprived. Think of what a wonder life is! We are so lucky to be here. Life is good! Appreciate the wonders of nature! Look at a tree or a plant and appreciate its beauty and the fact that each is unique. You are a beautiful person and should let others in the world see that! Good luck!

Do yourself a favor and eat a few cheeseburgers this weekend. You need an off day every now and then. Also take a week off from training once every 3 months. It really helps.
