Well, I found this by accident. I felt like I had some heartburn with them, so I ate a couple of Rolaids. They went away pronto! I've done this several times, and worked every time.

My Mom, a nurse, saw Dr's use this in the ER for people who came in w/chronic hiccups..I have used it..told people about it, and it ALWAYS works...take a spoon full of sugar, let it disolve in the mouth (don't chew it around and swallow)...usually, one teaspoon works..I've seen people need to use two, but never more than that. By the time the sugar disolves, the hiccups are gone...

This is what always works for me...Take a big sip of water but don't swallow it. Tip your head upside down, hold your nose and swallow. You may have to do this a couple of times. Hope it works!!
