The Old Testament was meant for Jews, the New Testament meant for everyone. Lots of what Jesus did was to right what was wrong with the Old Testament, thus rendering it obsolete. The rest of what Jesus did was to fulfill the Old Testament, making it still relevant today.

The bible is a fictional book, brought together by the church to maintain one religion.
I don't doubht alot of the storys in there are based on true events, but the bible is a collection of events based on word of mouth.
There are plenty of gospels that were not included as they did not fit the churchs idea on what was deemed christian.
It's a wonderful thing as it brings joy to alot of people, but fiction it is!

Because the word of God is prophetic and progressive. Christians believe that Jesus fulfilled most of the prophecies from the Old Testament, making their purpose..obsolete.

There were more manuscripts that were omitted from the bible. The dead sea scrools revealed that mary Magdaline had written letters that were not included. other disciples accounts of Jesus were also left out. There seeems to be no reason why they were not included. If there is doubt of Jesus's exsistance, then why did the Romans convert to Christianity after his death. They must have had proof of him and what he did.

The bible is a collection as they all said. I think it is more of a guide of what people should follow. common sense if you will..but I am not a Christian and I dont need a book that tells me not to kill my friends...among other things.
